I dont suppose there's a way of checking out the UK stock levels for Apple stores. I don't fancy dragging into central London and them not having stock.

Do they answer the phone and let you know - or is there a way of reserving one in store?

Don't believe there is a stock checker for the UK, the US has one for the 5S.

Call them beforehand, in Manchester both Arndale and Trafford Apple stores had plenty of stock of each model / config.

They'll let you know on the phone. Also try, John Lewis, Tesco, Currys etc as they all are carrying the Air.

Sadly no way to reserve in store. You will just have to give your local store a call. My neighbour picked hers up at PC World this morning (no queues) and got a £30 voucher to spend before the end of the year. I had already ordered mine direct and have just had shipping notification.
