Still waiting for my dispatch email but Im pretty certain my Amazon order will be here tomorrow by Royal Mail now :)🤞

Annoyingly, i'm wanting to order something completely unrelated off Amazon now with prime for tomorrow but don't want to risk it delaying the order with it being so late in the day.

It says I have 4 hours to order it to have it delivered tomorrow, but I think ill just wait to order until tomorrow now and get it Sunday 😂
 
Quick question, when do apple charge your credit card?
My order which I put through about 10 mins after preorders opened has been showing as 2 November delivery and I assumed they charge on despatch, but I just had a charge on my credit card. Is there a chance it’ll be with me before 2 November?

I would try that tbh might be the best bet, I have always backed up using a mac rather than iCloud due to storage etc.. I have everything on here since my very first iPhone the 3G I cant deal with a new set up phone

If you still have your phone then yes. To be doubly sure do an encrypted backup to a Mac/pc and use that.

You using iCloud for your services? Then you could do what I did and start a fresh too. All my data still there

Picked up my phone from the Trafford Centre this evening. Super happy and impressed with it - silver 256GB Pro. It looks fantastic while I go through the usual set up and restore process

What worked for me was backup to my Mac Mini (encrypted so keeps passwords etc) and then a restore to the new iPhone.

I backed up the iPhone 11 in 30 mins (it finished as DPD finally let me have my phone) and took about 25 mins to restore.

Lost my Authenticator, but as I had the original I logged into all my sites I use it for and switched to the Authy app.

Not the most natural of light, but I really like the green. It's a minty green really and different to the 11 in green.

I’m on unlimited everything, 5G data, and a smart benefit for £25 .. think they have £23 with smart benefit and 200GB. It’s usually on their site and maybe cheaper offers for existing customers 🙂

Did you collect from Apple Trafford Centre? If so, how busy was it this evening? Pretty quiet first thing but I expect it will have got busier throughout the day, up to store capacity with precautions.

Well that didn’t work.

Bloody hard work.

Eventually managed to get 20gb (more than enough for my usage) 5G for £14 a month.

Can’t be bothered to argue anymore.

Quick question .. does anyone have a clue from former years how quickly stock comes back into John Lewis for online purchase? .. will pop on early tomorrow morning if worth it but if they’re not going to be there I want a LIE IN!! Lol

It’s a little hard to get a good macro shot with the XR 😂
But there is still a very slight lip over the level of the screen protector and if you zoom the images, you can just make out the extended lip top and bottom.
The case and the 3 pack of protectors were a bargain at around £9.70 total from Amazon.
 
Ok, I have a problem with my 12 Pro but not sure if I have a defective unit or it’s because of the new modem and software.

On my 11 Pro, I used to get 2 bars of signal and 4G in the basement of my flat. On the 12 Pro, I get no signal and when I do manage to get it, I only get 3G and not 4G.

Anyone else having a problem like this where signal and speed have noticeably changed?

Yes I’ve noticed that my 12 is spending a lot of time on 3G and am getting 1 bar only. I’m on 3

Just got my phone. Didn't really upgrade for 5G, didn't even know i had coverage but WOW. My phone now has faster internet than the fibre in my house...albeit less reliable.

Liking the phone so far, glad i trusted my instincts and went with blue. But REALLY wish it had pro-motion but otherwise happy.

Shoutout to EE - i upgraded my SIM to the 60gb 5G plan for £20 with a 20% discount, only to immediately see after there was a 100gb version at the same price! One call and they've added me a bonus 40gb every month... Top service!
