I have had this exact same scenario. The app / website tells me I have until the 19th but received the same email you did today.

Apple’s online return police says you have 14 days from receipt of the product to initiate a return, and a further 14 days after that to get it back to apple. So as far as I’m concerned, we have until the 19th.

I think where the email comes from is that once you have initiated a return, it creates a UPS returns label, which is only valid for 5 working days. I assume once that time has elapsed, it will create a new UPS returns label. However it is very confusing of Apple not to clarify this and to send out an email saying wehave only two days left, when we have until the 19th.

My issue is that I don’t have a printer, so I’m a bit stuck on printing the returns label... need to find somewhere open with a printer!

I think he’s lying but I guess if it doesn’t arrive you can make a complaint and get compensation since he lied to you lol.

EE said my phones been picked and left the warehouse so just waiting for DPD to collect it and then I’ll receive the tracking info.

I’m glad I found this thread, my pro max is still preparing to ship and I was starting to get worried. 2 weeks without a phone hasn’t been fun so I’m counting on it still coming Friday haha. Has anybody’s actually shipped yet?
 
Just to check, I have an eSIM on my current SE and have a new eSIM ready to set up my 12 Pro Max. Do I need a physical SIM to start the initial set up, or can I go through first time set up with the eSIM?

You don't need a physical SIM, you can go eSIM to eSIM.

I've swapped back to a physical SIM, all a bit of a faff with these eSIMs untill the UK Networks adopt Apple quick eSIM swap.

Have used Spigen and ESR which are good but have gone for this one for the iPhone 12 Pro Max. I'm curious about the cutout that sits around the camera lenses which could offer a small increase in protection:
