What plan is that if you don’t mind me asking? Does it include any smart benefits?
I tried with them over live chat today but they wanted to charge me more for less data that I have just now on a 24month sim only

Yes unlimited 5G sim plan with 1 smart benefits 24 months contract £22 a month.

Keep trying had to tried this 5 times before they opened up and offered me something that interested me.

So, which retailers normally have stock for pre-order, other than Apple? I’ve been getting upgrades from my network for the last few years, but I’m going to go SIM free this year.

I’m guessing John Lewis, Very?

Stockinformer have a list

Yes, John Lewis and Currys only stock and take orders on launch day so says come back 23rd. John Lewis it’s on there already :)

Sorry, I am a noob but if I Pre Order an iPhone 12 on Friday (as expected we will able to) will it be delivered to me on release day? Or can it take quite a lot longer?

I am just desperate for a new phone as my iPhone 6s is on its last legs.
If you get your order in fast, and order not blue, you might have a good chance, but there's no way of knowing how much stock they built up so far.

Was one of the lucky ones who managed to grab Three's £10 per month 5G Ready Unlimited Data, Unlimited Texts, Unlimited Minutes, and Go Roam Around The World included back in the Summer of 2019 which was a misprice on their first 5G plan (was only meant to be £10 for 6 months then £25 after, but it was not made clear when ordering) but they honoured it after a massive backlash. Convinced myself today to get iPhone 12 128GB (hopefully from Argos). Bought 3x £100 eGifts (max you can use online, unfortunately) for £240. Should hopefully get £84.90 in cashback and just sent off my iPhone 11 64GB for £485. Should be a net upgrade cost of £219.10 if everything checks out, Argos says on their website Pre-Order from 1 pm on the 16th!

Are there any deals on a 12 month plan? I’m out of contract next month

I know the feeling. I sold my 11 Pro in August to maximise trade in price and was anticipating a September launch for the new ones. I’ve been using a 16GB original SE which requires charging at least 3x day since I updated to iOS 14. Desparate for the new phone.

That's incredible!

Considering my plan is £10 per month, hopefully, I will be able to bring it down as well at the end of the term which is in July next year. Their first reaction will probably be, sorry there's nothing better, and my answer to that will be, how can I possibly go to a more expensive plan having paid less for the past 2 years ;)
Jokes aside, EE is definitely still the king when it comes to 4G coverage and reliability, I actually missed it a lot as this is what I had prior to moving to Three. However, as time goes on I think Three has the potential to become one of the best in 5G space, they got the most spectrum out of all major 4 operators but, of course, it will take time.

10pm and still no hands on videos, so I’m still absolutely none the wiser as to whether I’m getting graphite or silver 😫

I thought videos can’t go out till tomorrow?? Correct me if I’m wrong

I know £16 for 200gb sounds great but do people REALLY need 200GB?!?!

I barely go over 5Gb so a 20Gb 5G tariff is more than sufficient for me!
Lol I used to use 130 a month. Now with good WiFi I use like 10

In the current climate, no, not really. However, post-covid (whenever that is) when everyone is again out and about and certainly for me at least doing quite a bit of travelling, having a lot of data is quite important, helps with Roaming (not paid any Roaming surcharge whatsoever since 2016 EU rules came into play, had USA covered with EE Max Plan previously and then Three's Go Roam Around the World). I do understand they are capped, but the more you have - the more you can use abroad. Not to mention an increase in streaming quality etc. over the recent years. You don't realise how quickly data gets consumed when you watch a couple of videos online.

Anyone know how the orders for the accessories will work?

Come 1pm tomorrow, all those using the Barclays 0% deal will be adding their phones to their baskets and checking out for delivery/collection. But - you can’t add accessories to the Barclays deal as it’s ONLY for the handset. So, do we need to create 2 baskets - one for the handset and one for any accessories?!

They can’t, but before covid when the event was live there would be plenty of videos from people at the event with hands on of the phones within a few hours.
Was hoping there would be some devices sent out to people early and the embargo not being in place until Friday. Good Morning America had a device this morning for example but the video is pretty useless

Not relevant to your question (well kinda) but it might even be worth doing a separate order on accessories if you have access to corporate pricing. Should get 10% off (checked just now and it's showing them discounted at least for now).

I hope accessories is from midnight but since I’m getting a max I’m not fussy about it. Fingers crossed there will be a lot of stock of accessories that what everyone can get what they want after the phone is ordered.

Fair enough. Hopefully soon they’ll be live.

What’s the link for the Barclays pre-approval? I can’t see it anywhere on the apple website
