iPhone 12 Pro UK iPhone 12 Pro Max Order - "Order is on hold"

After several "An Interruption Occured When Placing Order" messages, my order finally went through via the Apple Store app - but when looking at the order status on mobile it now shows "Your order is on hold".

I did the pre-approval earlier this week for financing via Barclays and that was all approved, so my pre-order today should have just been a simple confirmation process.

Does anyone else who completed the pre-approval for finance see "Your order is on hold" when looking at their order status?

Looking on my laptop, the Apply website just states "Your complete order history cannot be displayed right now. Check back in a few hours to see all of your orders." when I try and view my orders.
 
I have literally the exact same issue. It still hasn’t changed for me. I tried calling apple but they just keep disconnecting the line.
 
i think there is a backlog that they need to sort through between Apple and Barclays, so fingers crossed it gets sorted soon!
 
I was successful at 13.03 in the UK via the app, used Barclays like yourself beforehand and was approved, I literally clicked place order and it went through. I received an email confirming delivery on the 13th, order status within the app was processing. An hour or two later to my shock it went backwards to ‘on hold’ but thankfully I have just checked and it has gone back to processing, looks like the orders are in a bit of a mess at the moment.
 
Confused now, went through the Barclays pre approval 3 days ago, got my order in at 1pm on the dot about 5 mins later I got an e-mail with the delivery date 13/11 but the apps saying it's on hold, the website's saying they've received the payment info and are preparing the order, totally lost?!?
 
Exactly the same here. Ordered at 1:17 for delivery on the 13th on the Mack it says order placed and underneath it says “ we have received your payment information and are preparing your order but on the iPhone Apple store it says order is on hold until they can confirm payment. I called Barclays they say all is fine but Apple just cuts me off also. Sooooo nervous haha
 
Phew, so it's not just me! Did pre-approval as soon as it went live Tuesday morning. I had a nightmare placing my order, was in the iTunes store waiting for 13:00 but had to reload the store a couple of times, then I got the dreaded "An Interruption Occured When Placing Order" a ton of times, eventually went through (Now with a 2-3 week dispatch date instead of the 13th.. Which I wasn't thrilled about)
Eventually the pre-order went through and like everyone else here, on the apple store website / order status I've got "Your order and payment information have been received. preparation of your item will begin shortly."
But on the apple store on my iPhone "your order is on hold" so who knows what's going on. I'm hoping my order still turns up on the 13th.. but I'm not hopeful
 
Aha yep, now fixed. Thanks everyone for sharing it wasn't just me having the issue!
