I always wonder why people have a hard time, always get lucky and breeze through pre orders. Today it was my turn, done the pre approval with Barclays but didn't receive a link. Nothing on app to finalise it, so tried 3x to do a new application. On the 3rd attempt I got a confirmation email half way through, so looks like one went through. Never hit an order button or anything. Very odd. All good in the end, pro 13 graphite on way.

13:14 for me! Had an absolute nightmare.. ordered a 128 Sierra blue pro to try it out, but may well decide to stick with my 11 pro for another year - could be the first time not upgrading after 2 years! But at least I may then be able to justify the 14” MBP.

in the (too) many years I've been doing this.. there is no single pattern on what method works better! feels completely random!
I had the opposite experience to you this time... over the years the app has been fine.
Did the pre-pre order and paid in full. The experience was the same as a regular order except when I did the pre-pre order it had me do the two-factor thing with my credit card there and then... perhaps it saves the authorisation and prevents Visa/Mastercard getting overwhelmed on the day?!

The app refreshed at 1:01pm on my iPad and I got the pre order in immediately.
My phone (on a different network) managed to get in at 1:06, and my MacBook got in at 1:08. My brother is still having issues on his browser on his PC and hasn’t got his order in yet.
Really pleased I managed to get my order in quickly on the iPad app.

Ordered my sierra blue 13 Pro for pickup at my local store - I’m trading in my old 11 Pro which is my current phone. Didn’t realise you can’t trade in in store and have to send it off via the prepaid box - can I do this once I’ve picked up my new iPhone next Friday? I can’t be without a phone!

what a shambles that is, wouldnt take payment of 5 occasions, I have the order as the 24th Sep but I doubt they will keep to that
I’m not sure there’s gonna be a lot of tracking unfortunately as they are sat in a warehouse in the U.K.. I think on Thursday everyone’s phones will change to preparing for dispatch and then to dispatched and then they arrive the next day

I finally managed to pre-order an iPhone 13 Pro Sierra Blue 256GB, had to do the whole process twice but sorted it in the end. Even now the phone is still showing as available for delivery on launch day.
Order placed at 13:02 for Pro 256GB in Gold via iUP. App on iPad came up first for me.
Still seems to be a fair amount of stock for in store collection available at my nearest store, although higher capacities and Pro Max starting to go now.

yes pretty sure you can.. once they assess they just refund the amount back to you.

if it says 24th then it should do? Did you get a 1p charge registered out of interest? I did, on apple pay, and its saying 24th (at least at the moment). Email also says 24th.
I guess the only really good sign is when they take the money, which iirc is wed/thur next week.
