Thanks - yea, that's what I'm seeing also.
My current Watch plan is a 10Gb plan - doesn't look like they do this anymore so its a choice between 4Gb or Unlimited.
Usually its this - for the contract term at least.
When the contract term comes to an end you get to keep the watch and change the data plan to something cheaper (although the carrier usually keeps quiet and lets you continue to pay full price if you're not on top of things yourself!)
Of course, you're free to upgrade and enter another new contract at that point too.
Basically, just like a phone contract......
....and, ORDERED (not too fussed about the band colour as I have loads that I use daily anyway!), but was specifically after the Midnight Nike Edition watch rather than the standard non Nike version).

Probably going to restart my watch plan with o2 for £5 a month (unlimited data).... Miss not having cellular so I can leave my phone home if I'm briefly popping out for something, or for using around work while my phone is in my office (dont use the work wifi ;o) )
I’m in the opposite camp and hardly ever leave my phone behind or not have it on me. The only situation would be for exercise for me but couldn’t justify a monthly plan for it… though knowing I’ve paid might be the motivation to get me out running more now the weather heads turned!
Just to update my earlier post....
So by trading in your existing Watch, it drops the monthly payments to £26 a month for 24 months (as above screenshot). I also paid £30 today towards Watch price.
However, if you choose to NOT trade-in your watch, then the above same data plan is £28 a month for 24 months (with the same £30 up front cost) :

That said, I'm content with £5 a month for peace of mind if the phone gets stolen or something.
That said, I find it such a faff calling EE to move the plan to each new watch. To be honest, I barely make any calls on the phone, so the call to EE is the longest and pretty much the only outgoing call I make each year.

I know what you mean. My phone only rings these days when someone is trying to sell me something, it's all emails and texts otherwise. Unfotunately for them I'm a sad, lonely git who would welcome another human to talk to once in a while. So basically your getting £48 over the two years if you trade in with them?!
Get you £100 or so from MM!!
EE just confirmed to me they also use LikeWise (as did the Argos trade-in)!
MM is still an option (£109 currently but may change. Wont get my new watch for at least a month yet).

With O2, I went through the Watch setup and got to the data plan bit, picked add data plan to this watch. Then the O2 website comes up, you log in and it says you already have a watch plan and do you want to start a new one or transfer the existing one to a new watch. You obviously pick transfer to new watch.
It took about 10 minutes to activate on the new watch.

I’m pretty sure the deal with EE also knocks off £100 from the upfront cost - the original screenshot from @Dino F shows £130 down to £30 with trade in

I mean 10 GB is more than enough for just the watch to be honest. There’s only a few handful of situations when someone would just be with the watch and not with the phone as well. Of course that depends on individuals but I guess if you get a new watch you don’t have a choice.

I didn’t buy the watch from them and I’m on £5 as well.
EE no longer do this plan (I also had the above very same plan when I started with my Watch in 2018).
If you upgrade your watch and plan, it’s either a 4Gb plan or an Unlimited Plan.
I looked through the data that my watch actually uses and it was VERY minimal - not once, in the whole time I have had my watch, have I used even close to just ONE Gb, therefore the 4 Gb Plan I posted about earlier, is more than sufficient for me.
Yep exactly! I hardly ever use the watch on its own. But since this year I went with the pro max phone, I am tempted to just take the watch to the gym.
Ok well I gave in didn’t get the AirPods 3 went for the pros as was not much in it price wise.
