just popped out to drop off the 13 at the local post office (they weren't taking any more parcels due to the backlog created from yesterday! managed to sweet talk her into taking mine :D).

the Xr slid out of my shorts pockets twice in the car and fell into the gap between the seat and centre console (aka no mans land).
Charmer! I can't get to a Post Office today so will take mine tomorrow - along with the old iPhone 7 now, so every little helps as the saying goes 😂

I've lost many a thing in that gap 😬

Wow we could never not take any parcels if we have a backlog here in the US. Your P.O. seems cool. Over here we are short staffed and working 10+ hours 6 days a week. It only took me 6 months to save for the 512GB 14PM with all of the overtime I’ve been working and I still managed to add to my savings of 4 months worth of bills.

Used to happen to me, scuffed many an iPhone in that gap. Now my iPhone goes right into the spot under the screen and plugged in for Apple CarPlay.

Nice. Was that for 64gb? Let us know the battery health when you find out!

I’m finding the Xr slippery af! Going to get a cheap slim case for it

Nice cheap clear case on mine which helps battery is 88% as well, pretty pristine condition

AC+ Theft and Lost now cancelled and a refund of ~£126.

if you're selling your phone and have apple care which you want to cancel, keep a note of your phone serial number and/or policy number. Luckily I remembered that apple send you a proof of coverage email when you sign up to apple care which has both.

I called apple via: contact Apple Support to get it done.

If on iUP do you have to pay off loan first before calling Apple to cancel the AC+, or does it matter?

Did you make a claim?

no, you can cancel AC+ at any time. The refund apple provide will always go back to Barclays and come off your outstanding balance. If you have cleared off your loan before you get your AC refund, the money goes back to Barclays who will in turn return it to you.

Ah ok great thanks, so probably better to cancel AC+ and then just get a final bill. Does this happen instantly? As in phone to cancel AC+ and same day can phone Barclays to pay up iUP?

Think I’ll do this, this time. Last few I’ve just handed into Apple to do the “proper” iUP, but prob make a little bit to offset the 14.

I had to wait a few days for it to show up on Barclays system but you can just leave the balance of the AC and pay the rest off which would fully clear it off when the AC is refunded

anyone know how much EE charge if you don't return an 13 pro max 512gb with your anytime upgrade?
You'll essentially have to buy yourself out your contract for your current phone and start a new one as far am I'm aware. So however many months left of your contract (eg £50 x 10 Months Left) minus the VAT and the rest of the cost of the phone left to pay. Costly way of doing it.

With EE Anytime Upgrade, you can just return your old device and upgrade to new. No need to buy out the contract.

Apple say it can take up to 10 working days for the AC refund to show up with Barclays... with past experience, its been less than this.

if your AC refund hasn't shown up on your Barclays account, you can still pay it off and Barclays will refund you once they receive it.

its not all that much hassle, especially for the few hundred quid you'll be better off.

But this user is saying they're not returning their phone, which you have to do to qualify for an upgrade if your contract hasn't reached the 24 month mark. They have an iPhone 13 Pro Max, which will be about 13 months or less into their contract, so have another 10 or so months to pay off.

not really looked into these, but sounds like an expensive IUP?
I only go for EE upgrades because of work discount. But to upgrade you pay £600 if your contract is between 6 and 12 months old (phone has to be sent back). £300 to upgrade if your contract is between 12 and 24 months old (phone has to be sent back), or free after 24 months (phone is yours).
Used to be a free upgrade every year on a 4GEE MAX plan, but they stopped doing that a couple years ago.

Do you have to pay the fee and send your phone back or does sending the phone back cover some/all of the fee? If you have to pay it and give EE your phone then that sounds like a terrible deal!
