Looking increasingly likely that I’ll be here for longer this year! C’mon Amazon, do something.
One of my friends at work has one and I had a quick go and was also surprised how nice it felt in hand. Wasn’t as heavy as I was expecting looking at the size.
It is against the phone to order (i.e. new orders), however, previously they had several options:
Expect the phone in 14 days
Expect the phone in 21 days
Expect the phone in 28 days
"We will deliver to you as soon as we receive stock."
AND
"Expect delivery to you on day of launch."
Now (overnight), the size/colour combinations that previously said "We will deliver to you as soon as we receive stock." have changed to "Expect despatch in more than 28 days."; none of the others have changed. I believe this is just a wording change for clarity rather than any indication of stock change/information.

Apple has also taken the money for my iPhone yesterday. It’s looking good for a Friday delivery.

There is still no movement on my Ultra. It’s still at processing. Mind you it’s not due for delivery until the 23rd.
I’m down for Friday 16th delivery from Apple but my money is still pending in my bank to be taken 😩 haha
Same with mine, I wonder if they will come direct from China as well… and does this mean there will be flight tracking in this thread for the first time in years?
Always enjoy The Verge's review (although Nilay Patel grinds my gears for some reason but maybe it's not him this year 🙏🏼 Last year was the wonderful Dieter Bohn but he's left the company now) Either way they always have a good production value and insights.

EDIT: Ugh already picturing Nilay and hearing his voice in my head now. "So this is the new iPhone. It's... well, it's an iPhone. It's got some cool stuff like last year's model had good stuff and the one before had good stuff. It's got this weirdly named Dynamic Island which is an awful name but it's ... kinda cool to use? And an Always on Display which Android has had forever but it's nice. You do wonder if it's worth upgrading anymore. Let's dive in and see." 😤😂

I went a bit nest crazy when I bought my new place a few years ago. Have the nest wifi with 2 additional access points. Works reasonably well but went a bit pear shaped when setting up the sky q minis. The nest is pretty dumbed down, can’t even select your own channel… similar with sky the mesh sky q uses for the mini network, both clashed on the same channel and frequency. Luckily managed to find hidden settings on the sky to change it so things improved.
Was ready to go all in with 6E wifi and get https://www.netgear.com/uk/home/wifi/mesh/rbke963b/ but coming in at £1500 is painful!
Ironically spending that amount on a mobile phone is less of an issue
If you’re spending that sort of money are you able to consider a proper set up? Something like ubiquiti kit which is fantastic and not too expensive. That’s what I’ve installed and use myself.

Problem solved, The welcome email got sent to my old appleid (I forgot I changed it) so now have the welcome email and the finance agreement was activated on the 11th
