Was planning on going for Silver this year, but if these new rumoured colours are legit, then I’ll 100% be going to Titan Grey. Looks so so good!
May be my favourite iPhone colour.

how many people are thinking of getting a Pro Max this year.. especially if its the periscope lens in the larger phone that driving the change?

given I can't modify or add a new poll to this thread, use this post as one.

👍 - if you're getting a Pro

❤️ - if you're getting a Pro Max

(ps - no, I'm not trying to harvest likes :p)
Pro max all the way, even if I have to wait till October 😍

Okay, another question. Can your shipping address be different from your billing if ordering direct from Apple? I may just get the phones delivered to my mother-in-law if so.

In theory it should be. I’ve always had my phone delivered to my work rather than billing address but then I see some people have issues

So most of us are going pro max if this can be extrapolated.. apart from @Saladin12 who must be in for a 15 plus 😂

😂 That’s me being sad that I’m going to watch but not buy this year…

…though I am currently saving a price for my 14PM with MM

…and I do want a white iPhone

Jokes aside any price increase will be a firm barrier for me.

…but I have just got a new job that pays a fair bit more 👀

You’re all a bad influence.

I only jumped into the 14 Pro Max I have now, in April.
So I’ll definitely not be upgrading. Plus I’m not ready to give up my lightning connector just yet

I’ve not connected my phone to wire in a good 2 years now.

Fully wireless charging at home with the belkin 3 in 1 works great for all my iStuff.

Have to admit to even buying the MagSafe duo… it’s been great for charging on holiday and work travel.

Not currently using Apple CarPlay but the new motor will have wireless car play and I can’t remember the last time I needed to connect my phone to the Mac.

What’s keeping you tied to lightning?

Aldo wonder if Apple would release the AirPods Pro case with a usb-c option.. not that I’ve had to charge them by wire yet.

Out of interest, what’s your attachment (see what I did there?) to Lightning?

Personally, I can’t remember the last time I plugged a cable into my phone (apart from in my car for CarPlay) and although I do have a couple of multi ended (Lightning, USB C & Micro USB) cables in the house, I never use them for my phone.

I do appreciate that my use case scenario is not everyone else’s.

[Edit] - Should have scrolled a bit further and seen JinJin’s reply! 🤦🏻‍♂️

Can't agree more.

Although I do tend to plug in if I need quick charge. Having USB-C will make this a lot more convenient. I have an iPad - USBC, MacBookPro - USBC, headphones I use at night - USBC. but I have to carry round lightning just in case I need fast charge. I have a 3 in one which I use for my AirPods, but they are pretty much getting a new case this year with USBC.

I do like lightning but its time to be able to cross use charger cables. My new work laptop will be charged by USBC (Dell Latitude - I don't get a choice!!) so I can reduce the amount of cables.

I prefer the design of Lightning.

I much prefer that it’s a simple male ended cable, going into a simple female port.

Having said that, other than for CarPlay in my car, I can’t remember the last time I plugged my phone in to charge.

Now, I like that USB C is becoming the standard, it will make life easier going forward.

But…

I don’t like the kind of male, but not full male connection of a USB C ended cable, because it still has that female section inside the connector, that then has to be slotted into a female connection port, that has a male connector.

I would much rather that Apple had decided to match USB C’s specs for Lightning and given the design away, so that could be the standard going forward.

That may be me being a bit nostalgic &/or selfish (I charge on a slow MagSafe charging stand overnight), but for the designs reason I gave, I prefer Lightning.

I only have a 14PM & an M1 12.9” IPad Pro, no laptop.

As I said, the phone is charged overnight on a slow magsafe stand and the iPad on a slow USB plug.

I do have a 65w wall charger downstairs which I use if need a fast charge for the iPad, so getting a USB C phone will just mean I need a new USB C cable for the car (because I probably haven’t got some tucked away in various drawers around the house! 🤣

In answer to you all, I’m not replying separately as you all pretty much asked the same thing.

I also don’t often connect my phone to a charger cable thanks to wireless charging, but it’s nice to know I have the ability if I need to.

The main reasons would be my Razer Kishi controller, the abundance of lightning cables in the places I spend my days and my own lack of USB C powered devices.
The usage of my Razer Kishi is the biggest one on the list though, it’s the best games controller I’ve ever used on a phone and nobody can guarantee how long it would take to make an iPhone version with USB C

Nobody is able to answer the question of would the android version work, not even Razer.

Plus, to be honest I can’t think of a single ‘must have’ upgrade Apple could give me that would make the 15 better than this 14 Pro Max.
None of the rumours so far have made me think ‘that would be nice’.

You need one of these. Been using these for 3-4 years now and it just works

I have one in my car and one on my office desk. It was in a car but we shrunk down to a 1 car family. I generally pack it for going on holiday just in case we hire a car.

That grey is going to be soooo popular. Have to be Uber quick on the preorder!

If I can’t get a grey delivered on release day or the day after, I’ll get the blue (if these colours are true)

I’m a chauffeur and have tried various iterations of Wireless CarPlay boxes, but due to lag, none of them match the wired experience unfortunately.
