The battery life on my 13 Pro has been stable for about a year but ever since the battery health recently dropped from 83% to 82% it seems to have shortened quite a bit.

Wohoo
EE order is here. 15P 256GB T.White.
My first MagSafe with active cooling charger and first MagSafe case arrived two days ago 😀

Y’all sorry to resurrect this old thread but I was thinking about getting the ESR halo lock cooling MagSafe stand. Amazon in the united states has a deal on it for $42 and it has been updated with 25 watt MagSafe charging and a removable USB C adapter and cable.

I don’t see as many folks use this stand so I thought I’d ask for your opinion on it. Does it support Apple Watch fast charging and how fast it is?

Holy resurrection Batman! I still use my stand. The Apple charger is basically the wired charger that comes with the watch. The is wiring management for it in the base of the stand and the charging puck fits flush into the holder. This is great because as you upgrade your Apple Watch you can upgrade the charging too.

At least I still have my original Apple Watch charger! It’s a USB-A one, so they have both USB-C and ports to fit both cables, right?

You’re spot on about that. If I ever get a Series 11 as a second watch, I’ll definitely use the faster USB-C cable that comes with it.

Regarding the MagSafe, is it still fast on your iPhone? I have a 15 Pro, but just in case you upgraded, lol.

I still have my 15Pro. The MagSafe charger is on my bedside table. Put the phone when I go to bed and wake up with it fully charged.

If I need extra juice during the day I am usually downstairs and simply plug thr iPhone in to the 45watt usbc charger used for my MBP and iPad.

Same here!
Hey bro. 👊 I got my Halo Lock dock yesterday. The strange thing is that it takes a really long time to charge my iPhone; I put my iPhone on the dock at midnight and woke up at 7, and it only charged from 35% to 62%. I turned off the fan at the start of the night , but then turned it back on around 6 a.m. to see if there was any difference.

My Apple Watch Series 6 and AirPods Pro 3 charge normally. The newer models of this dock come with the charging puck included, and it has a removable USB-C plug and cable.

Is that normal, or should I try again with the fan on the next night? Thanks sir

That's not right. Are you using a MagSafe compatible case, do you have cards and money behind your phone? I always wake up with a fully charged phone, so does my GF whom I bought a different dock to use with her iPhone 7 and now iPhone 13 Pro.

We always wake up with fully charged phones, no exceptions.

All the cases I’ve used work with MagSafe.

I’m using a clear, slim case and also have recently snagged another GUESS iPhone case with MagSafe to see how it performs.

I’m planning to charge my 15 Pro overnight with the fan running and do another test. Before I use it, I’ll take out all the MagSafe wallets and rings like I do always .

How long does it take to charge your phone, sir?

UPDATE: I have sent an email to ESR customer service. I will do more testing of the dock with the fan on tonight and with a new clear case.

I charge without the fan on. There must be something wrong with their the dock or your iPhone. I don’t know how long time mine takes to charge as it doesn’t matter. I put it in the dock when I go to sleep, wake up and it’s always fully charged. Process should take maybe 2 hours to be fully charged.

Hey, I ran another test with this charger last night .

😕 It’s still not charging very fast. In just 6 hours while I was sleeping, it only went from 55% to 82%.
🛌 That’s not even enough to get it to my 90% limit, especially if I start charging from a lower percentage.

I charged my iPhone 15 Pro in the new thin clear GUESS case I just got, and this happened with the fan on. I’m hoping ESR gets back to me soon because I might have gotten a defective item. My 15 Pro charges perfectly on other chargers including those usb c cables I get free from events, and even at normal MagSafe speeds on my other Courant MagSafe puck, which doesn’t have the cooling feature.

And this is the case I used.
Minus the lanyard being on my iPhone I put it on my AirPods Pro instead.

Hey, guess what? I figured out the issue! It turns out I didn’t use the 33W brick adapter that came with it. Instead, I was using my 70W MacBook Pro adapter. 😂 So, I swapped it back with the included one, and guess what? The battery numbers started going up! After a few minutes of swapping adapters.

So it’s the adapter that matters, always use the included one ☝🏼

Problem solved, bro! 👊

Good! Odd that the more powerful brick didn't work. Good to know if I ever run into similar problems as I have a habit or using my existing bricks and keeping new ones as spares.
