First World Problems for me is buying a new iPhone to switch Lightning to USB-C!

Phone in hand from 8:45 pickup at the Metro Centre.

Have to admit, there is no longer the hype or buzz feeling in store now on launch day.

Loads of staff standing around doing nothing and I was the only one in the pickup queue when i arrived.

Either really efficient or people just prefer delivery these days.

Anyway heading home to get this bad boy setup!

I’ve not heard from DPD yet. The driver usually leaves about 10 ish and I normally get my deliveries somewhere between 12 noon and 2pm. Here’s hoping this is no different.

Picked up my 8:30am pickup before the slot as there was only one other person in line waiting. Nobody else waiting. That's the most dead launch I've ever seen.

O2 seem to have fluffed a load of orders and not sent them or given an updated estimate, they're blaming it on a "warehouse migration" causing delays. My order's stuck "processing" and estimated for today - pretty obvious that's not happening! You'd think, if true, they would make plans to not have a warehouse migration disrupt one of their largest and most predictably-timed launches of the year, but here we are. Bit of a mess - if I didn't get a big saving from them I would go get one direct, but stuck waiting for them to sort their mess out.

Enjoy the new devices all, I'll join you eventually 🙂

Same with mine, The O2 forums say they have been using this excuse since the Pixel launch so probably just using it again to get people off chat.

Might just delay paying my bill when the phone arrives and tell them it’s because of house migration 🙃

I used to scoff at people who wanted USB-C cos like who cares, but over the last year or so not having USB-C has become pretty irritating in various situations so I’ll admit defeat on that one!

Considering they’ve both come from Southwark, god knows why they aren’t on the same route.
Seems crazy they double up their drivers like this, could have two different DPD deliveries within 15 minutes of each other.

I'll never forget going to collect my 4S from the Trafford Centre. Only difference was i was collecting from the Three store. The Apple store queue stretched along the neighbouring shops, round the corner, down an entrance corridor, outside and even down the stairs to the multi story car park. I just waltzed by to be one of only 3 or so going into Three at 8am. Picked up the phone and new contract straight away.
Striding back past the queue, phone in hand with all those waiting in line in awe of it... I felt like a king that morning 🤣🥰

None, honest. The place was dead. Few other customers already being seen to and 2 or 3 sitting down to setup their new toys.
