All of this stuff just to a screen protector on lol.

Luckily it was fairly easy with the provided frame guide and doesn’t look like it even has one one unless you get super close to it.

Picked up a 16 Pro (Black) from the Apple Store Belfast Northern Ireland. The queuing system outside had just 2 people plus me. One person wanted to buy as a walk in but was told to reserve a time and pay online. He walked away in disgust.

I was then served and “allowed” to proceed inside the store. It was EMPTY apart from the 8 apple employees looking somewhat bored. When I say empty I am not spinning a line or exaggerating, it was empty. Went upstairs; two customers and then “the line” at the bar to collect the iPhone. That was empty too so I sauntered up and collected my iPhone.

2 minutes later I was out. This was at 9.15am. When I left you’ve guessed it - the line outside was empty. And the store employees (and the four security guards inside the ground floor) continued to just wander around looking bored.

This Apple policy of reserving and paying and lining up and receiving permission to enter the hallowed halls of the golden Apple Store is putting people off big time. It’s embarrassing.

The iPhone itself? Lovely thanks🤣

Just taken delivery of husbands 16 (Curry's pre order, DPD) - he went for the blue and I have to say it looks a great colour. I just wish the colours of the Pro's were a little more interesting like my trusty 13PM blue. After buying a camera this year and abjectly stating I wasn't upgrading, I am wavering 🙂

My store said they would be turning away anyone who comes before their allocated time slot. The system seemed to be working as there were no queues at all, I simply checked in with the person on the door and was greeted ny the lady who would hand over my phone. In and out in 5 mins.

I collected from the Apple Store in Liverpool at about 12:15 and it was rammed!! Huge queue to collect and a huge queue to buy, it even carried on outside!

Busiest I’ve seen it in a long time.

I had this when I got my 13PM. Hadn't pre-ordered and saw there was stock for a walk in. Local store was empty but they refused unless I ordered it online with a time, so I went to John Lewis instead! As you say the launch day ceremony at stores feels a bit of a relic now.

I bought the 'Spigen Glas.tR EZ Fit' screen protector that came with an applicator frame, worked really well. Also works perfectly with the Spihen Ultra Hybrid case, cant see the edges of the screen protector at all.

I've heard from someone that they just didn't get any Pro Max in time to send them out for today. Which, honestly, is a little hard to believe but would certainly explain it.
 
Is the new camera button functioning perfectly for those who got a non official apple case? like the soft touch and swipe to zoom features?
 
Just taken delivery of my phone; perfect, zero issues or defects.

Now to do my glass screen protectors only 3 tries any spec of dust makes me cry and do it all again OCD, I guess, and transfer my EE eSIM over from my old iPhone. Good luck to anyone waiting for delivery.

It's something I've wanted for a long, long time (Leica M8) and it's not brand new either - I'd never be able to spend that on a camera but it's a Leica, and it will be mine - that's the most important factor.
 
Went had to queue up for my reservation in and sorted fairly quickly. Like the new desert colour. The max does not seem that much bigger.
 
Big queue at Covent Garden this morning — collected my 16 PM in Natural about 25 mins after arriving.

Glad to have upsized from the Pro again, after downsizing last year. Let’s hope the battery life is better than my 15 Pro! 🔋

Got mine at lunch hour and now doing setting up. Will take while and it is first time I ever replace my current Apple Watch same time too. Series 4 is my first one and now new series 10. I never transfer old to new watch before so bit nervous about that. iPhone first and I am used to that so no worries there. Then do watch after.
