I have an 8 Plus and a 4K ATV showing as out for delivery on the UKMail website (two different tracking numbers but presumably they will be dropped off at the same time), but never received any notification with an estimated delivery slot (or a way to track the location of the delivery vehicle). I guess they want me to just stay in all day waiting. Really wish Apple had used DPD for me again this year...
Just feel for me....ordered from Argos and they are using Yodel to deliver 🙁😵
Might aswell report it damaged now...
Ok, that's good to know. I'm getting to the store for around 8:30 so we'll see how things pan out tomorrow morning.
I have visions of there being a mile long queue and I'll take one look and think - sod this for a big breakfast!!!!!
😀😛
If you have a reservation you'll be fine especially st that time. My morning slots have usually been fast. The time i had an afternoon slot things were running late and I had to wait a while. Waited in an unorderly unqueue like queue but that s apple for you!
🙂Did you ask if it was poss to switch to IP?
Bit confused... UK Mail tracking page says my 8 will be delivered between 14:00 and 15:00, but the Apple tracking page says due to be delivered on 25 September... 😡 I ordered literally 3 mins after preorders went live on the 15th 😕
Not looking good for people waiting for the iphone x if theres lots of stock of the 8 that must mean people are waiting for the x. last year this thread was full of people complaining not getting one due to one reason or another. I don't think i've seen one person say they haven't got what they ordered looks like theres plenty of stock available at apple stores.
While i'm happy people have got what they ordered it does indicate the x will be very similar to last years debacle of a launch.
My sales dude was telling me that the iPhone 8 Plus is superior and faster that the X will be as the X uses all its processing power to run the more high spec screen!
So, they’ve swapped my phone out and now apparently I’ve “failed” the application for the loan agreement on the iUP.
Despite having obviously passed this morning to get the device that I’ve had to return as faulty. 🙄
They’re on the phone to Barclays now...
I'm not sure they'd have any more knowledge than you or I to be honest. My sales dude was telling me that the iPhone 8 Plus is superior and faster that the X will be as the X uses all its processing power to run the more high spec screen!
How much do they charge for that?also a Belkin screen protector which was applied in store using their 'special tool' which ensured no bubbles or dust!
wow hopefully they get it sorted. why did they have to re-apply? surely if the phone was faulty it was just the case of switching the device over?

£25 I think. How much do they charge for that?
The guru told me I couldn't switch once I started the IUP but other gurus may say otherwise!

Yea, I was so amazed. Literally got to Apple Store Bromley at 8(reservation was at 9) but was let in straight away! No queue no nothing!!
I was in and out by 9am!! Bought a silicone Apple case (tried the official leather one but it was SO slippery - even the Apple guy suggested the silicone as it offered more grip! Will probably change it later on though!!) and also a Belkin screen protector which was applied in store using their 'special tool' which ensured no bubbles or dust!
All in all a great experience (can't post a pic as it's still in the box until I get home to set it up!)!
🙂
No idea, Barclays seemed to suggest that my DOB was "wrong" on the 2nd put through, but it seems there are some gaps in this process, as it should just be a case of swapping the serial number of the phone and letting me get on my merry way, but apparently not.Thats crazy man is it because it's another application in such a short space of time?

I've been here since 8am and I'm now getting a little bored...
do you know which Belkin protector they applied? assume its this one. few review comments on apple suggest they have cracked with being dropped.
Nothing yet... 🙄Have they supplied you with a magazine, tea, coffee or a free case? 😀
I have always made an encrypted backup on my mac and restored from that. It may have changed now, but doing it via the MAC/PC and having it encrypted was the only way to migrate across all the saved password etc as well as health data... no idea if that has changed now. What do people recommend the best way to set up the new iPhone
Plug old one into comp back up then restore?
Or doing it all via the cloud if thats an option?
