I ordered CPW too. 64GB SG SIM free, 1st acknowledgement email 07.55 and second 10.08. Also phoned yesterday to be told 3rd November is accurate. However, I'm not cancelling my 2-3 week Apple order until I have definitive knowledge of CPW order (i.e. delayed date or phone in hand).

Yeah, I am the same but with Vodafone. I simply don't trust a telephone sales rep promising me that I will get the phone next Friday.

There is no email acknowledgement from the carrier, just a web order number when I completed the upgrade process. I am told I will receive an email next week confirming.


I'll believe it when it arrives and then I'll cancel my 2-3 week Apple order.

anybody going to the Apple Store on launch day just to see the madness? I will be getting mine on the 3rd by DPD and tempted to get the nike watch series 3 on that day so be interesting to see if the phone is out for people to check out

I'm not, but I think the queues will be mad.

People are best off locating Apple resellers or making friends with a store manager in your local Currys. I walked into an Apple reseller last year and got the iPhone 7 256GB Jet Black without queuing when it opened at 9am.

Last time I queued at the Apple store we were there the night before queueing outside and we’re probably fourth. After an hour we were about 50th by the time the line jumpers had butted in. There were so many of them, obviously all related or good mates, taxi after taxi pulling up in the end we gave up and went to MK Apple instead.

A similar group tried exactly the same stunt and this time we fought back so they weren’t all successful at barging in.

Never ever again, I swear I was one more scalper away from having either a break down or ending up getting stabbed.

Could of all been prevented had Apple staff routinely popped out and issued the tickets rather than waiting until the morning.

I’m also 9am pickup for a store that opens at 8am on the 3rd, but I’m thinking of getting there before 8 just for the hype...

UK Launch Day people: Are you able to track your delivery on UPS like the homepage suggests?

I remember when I had my original 6+, I could do this, but it isn’t working for me right now.

Is this now even possible for UK deliveries, or do we have to wait for DPD shipments?

Definitely they will fit the Belkin Antiglare one. They have a special Belkin machine. Not sure about the Invisglass one though.

They will only allow trade in for for items that they sell

You always get queue jumpers. I was second in the queue a few years ago and made damn sure that no one got in front of me. The problem was that some asian scalpers that arrived early in the morning did try to jump the queue and get in front of a lady and her son early on the morning and had an argument with the Apple staff when they arrived claiming that they were there first but i had already taken photos of the queue throughout the early hours of the queue and when i showed them to the Apple staff, the scalpers were sent to the back.

It isn't working for me. I also have a UPS My Choice account and nothing showing on there.

Nah, it won't be possible until Thursday most likely.

Traditionally, if you get your dispatch email in the morning on Thursday, it'll be shipped by UK Mail, afternoon will be DPD and evening (sometimes as late at 10pm!) UPS.

They use all 3 couriers (UK Mail, DPD, UPS). It's just luck of the draw.

I'm seeing this on the EE forum.

Also, all EE models are now out of stock for 3rd delivery. The 64GB one has just changed to 14 days.

That depends where they are shipping from. Some launches (iPhone 4S, WATCH) etc shipped from the UK (Tamworth) the day before, but some (iPhone 5S, first iPad) shipped direct from China. The fact the orders went to Preparing for dispatch on Friday (a week before delivery) makes me think the X will ship from China, likely with UPS.

I paid via apple pay on my iphone 7 plus for my iphone X. However, I have just sold my iphone 7 plus and thus erased it. Will the apple pay payment still go through or does apple pay have to be active on an iphone for the payment for the iphone X to go through?

I'd like to know the answer to this one as well - I've picked the 5-5:30pm slot for my iUp upgrade so I can get it after work but wouldn't mind getting it on my lunch break if the queues are short and I can get back to work within the hour.
