Yes, was about to say that. I just bought a 64GB SG for a friend!

Received my 256GB SG X an hour ago via UKMail; first impressions:

• beautiful - true next gen tech; screen really does look like a render
• FaceID.. sure, whatevs
• Animoji - really over-hyped, won't be bothering with them
• Gesture controls - easy peasy, over it already - although that first glance at it on your desk you're like "wtf? how am I going to turn it on?" (tap to wake or raise to wake obviously)
• Touch sensitivity will need getting used to... scrolling through my purchased apps in AppStore to download my mainly used apps it kept wanting to swipe the items left or right

Integrating it in to all your different lives and use cases is going to be the key - what makes me go 'huh.. weird', may not even register in your world (e.g. my split-second moment of doubt about turning on the screen won't register for many who already rely on raise-to-wake - but I'm a press home then pick-it-up guy).

Overall, very happy so far, lovely advance on an already stellar phone (although it is a bit buggy at the moment! downloading 11.1 at the mo...)

Go through and set the X up as a new phone, just enter your details. Then update the phone and then you should be able to restore from the backup.

Not had delivery details but did get an email pretty much right away with my order confirmation.

Still says processing had various replies all day now an email saying 8th to the 24th. So angry as now they have left me without the money for my 13th - 20th order

Nope...I was ringing about a Silver 256gb. Tbh it feels like there's a good chance that it won't be Monday 6th, they could've just said that to get me off the phone! Everything's a bit confused. My order on the Argos website still says it's out for delivery tomorrow, which could be true still? Argos could just be a big company with too many little parts not talking to each other.

I'll keep an eye on my order and update if anything changes.

After cancelling my Argos order I had literally just been on JL website with the items still showing Out of Stock and had pointlessly filled out the 'Email me when back in' field, then shut the page down. A few minutes later I saw your post and was able to go straight back on and place an order for delivery tomorrow. Thank you, Sir!

Anyone had any instances where DPD were outsourcing their deliveries to Yodel? Had a 18:58-19:58 delivery slot with DPD but just returned home to a Yodel card saying they'd missed me and had something that needed signing. Can't think of anything else I or the missus has ordered that would require a signature.

Checked the DPD tracker, he's at order 100 and I'm 186 and he's apparently 4:30 away from me, but on the map he's only about 200 physical metres from me...

My girlfriend's just arrived via UKMail but I am still waiting on DPD (136/168). Southall depot.

Both orders placed by me just after 8am through the Apple Store App (mine first, obviously).

JL have always been far more professional. I think they sell what they have from what an ex-colleague who worked there told me, Argos do it all on a whim..

John Lewis have never let me down. Got my 7 plus from them last year.

I just got off the phone with the JL Held Order team.... they're receiving another delivery today, which is probably why they're taking orders again.

The HSBC making app is garbage. Every time I get a new phone the digital secure doesn't work and you have to waste time phoning them up to reset it. Pure garbage.

Yeah, I switched bank to Natwest purely because of the HSBC app!

Yes, I find JL stock levels to be as real time as they can be and they tend to ship if they say it's available.
