Quick question, if my payment card doesn't go through, will they notify you to change the payment details or you lose your order?
Just had that happen for me. Paid originaly using ApplePay. Got a text today from my bank asking if I had authorised payment of £1150, which I confirmed. They told me to do the transaction again.

Went to the orders page on Apple UK web store, and my iPhone X order had a red text message saying I needed to change payment method. Clicked through and re-authorised original payment method. This was accepted and status changed immediately back to ‘processing’ (previously the status was a warning message; can’t remember the exact phrase, sorry). After 15-30 mins the status switched to ‘preparing for dispatch’ and (just looked again) it now says ‘dispatched’ (ETA; nope, was looking at wrong order...)

So, you’ll be fine if you act quickly in your payment method.

ETA: my confirmation email was 8:07

Order in progress (on apple.com)
Processing items (on Apple Store app)

No changes to the 13/11 - 20/11 delivery date yet.

Had the Apple Pay payment authorisation issue this morning - received notifications via the Apple Store app and via email - called Apple on 0800 048 0408 and paid over the phone. They said it wouldn't affect delivery date.

Hi in regards to the Argos orders, I have spoken to a customer service advisor who of which spoke to a manager. They said that the iPhone X's are in their warehouse. They said that people who ordered on the 3rd of November should expect their devices to come tomorrow and people who ordered after that should expect it to come on the 24th of November or little earlier.

I also had another guy mention that the stock should arrive on the 10th of November and should be delivered on the 13th of November but the customer service advisor who I spoke to did speak to a manager who deals with the iPhone X orders and they said that it should arrive tomorrow - If it doesn't I will definitely call back but the way she spoke to me seemed she wasn't in doubt. Hopefully we get text messages sent today :).

I mean there is conflicting information but I fully trust the customer service advisor as she seemed more legit and the other guy wasn't 100% sure. The last person i spoke to was the customer service advisor.

And for people who haven't got their compensation despite keeping their orders with Argos - Once your device comes, call back Argos to get your compensation.

I’ve been told 3 times now that the 10% was only for those who cancelled their orders. Does anyone that didn’t cancel have proof of the code? I’m guessing they might do a code valid only in November knowing fine well people who cancelled have no chance of getting another one in that timeframe and knocking off £100.

I called today and got a 10% note added to my file plus a £25 voucher for being mucked about. Worth giving them a call.

But yes, the email with a voucher is purely for those that cancelled.

I told Argos that we should all be entitled to some sort of compensation because we've all been lied to because they promised us a date and they didn't fulfil those promises. They said that once you receive your item, call us back and they will discuss whether you're entitled to some sort of compensation.

Today at 9am through Argos app.

Did you get a Yodel tracking number? I got the same notification on Friday and it still hasn't arrived despite it saying out for delivery Saturday 4th. I was told by Argos that unless you get a notification with a Yodel tracking number it isn't coming. Their systems are clearly quite rudimentary.

Just had message from Argos saying they assure me there will be no orders tomorrow. Although not sure how reliable the contact is as may just be relying on the company line!

I've received a phone call from Argos 1 hour ago confirming that I will get my iPhone X on the Nov 8.

Any of you uk guys who already have the x can you check to see if you get a network activity icon on your phone. I’m with three and doesn’t matter if I’m on Wi-Fi or mobile data I dont get any icon. I’m sure I saw via twitter it should be like a knight rider style animation in the top right ear and obviously on older phones it’s the spinning ring.
