Very good news that a cut SIM doesn't need its thickness reduced!

My cut-down T-Mobile Micro SIM should be ok now.
 
Just drove all the way to Loughborough CPW for them to tell me that my pre-ordered 16GB Black "isn't in yet, and we'll give you a ring when it arrives"...argh! He did assure me it would be today though.

Just more waiting! :p
 
After nearly giving up hope I recieved the text! (with Orange-Upgraded on pre-order release) Tracking information shows that they scanned it in at 18:00 yesterday. Will be recieving some time today!!

I was prepared for this but I was not prepared for the fact that the phone will not 'activate' without a SIM and so is completely useless until I get the SIM. Is there any way to bypass this so I can set the phone up without a SIM?

If you have a nano SIM adapter, then you can cut down your existing/spare SIM using a template.

That company has given me health issues. Clueless, inconsistent, shambles. Just want to know if a) I have any hope of getting mine soonish and b) whether their insistence that no orange customer will receive their phone today while they allocate stock is true.

got a text from orange saying it will be delivered today and uk mail tracking says out for delivery
