For what it's worth, the apple site loads bout five times faster than macrumors at the moment
Just called my bank to let them know I'm putting a large transaction through on my credit card, and the chap immediately asked if it was going to be payable to Apple, for about £600

I suspect their launch date wasn't a coincidence. It seems they aren't ready with details, so I think they just knew how much free press they would be if they could say "4G, only with us" at launch. The keynote mention will have helped too.

don't have to, but I'm using a newish card which I haven't ever used for a big transaction before, so thought I would be safe.
