Well, my update says 4.57pm departure scan from Dubai, but it looks like last cargo to Cologne today departed at 2.43pm.. I can't see more flights scheduled for today..hmmm..

According to this (official) website there are no UPS flights later today and the only flight they have for tomorrow is back to Shenzhen. Something's not right...

I tell you some flights are incognito ;)

damn so the phone are gonna sit there for a day in the Dubai heat? I guess it could help the adhesive dry quicker

Or maybe Dubai departure scan was added too late.. The iphone arrived to Dubai at 9.29am, since then we have had 5 departures to Cologne..if I am right, then phone will arriwe to Cologne late at night.. Otherwise sleeping in Dubai..

All Cargo flights from Dubai today..so I am hoping that my departure scan @ 4.57pm was added late as phone arrived to Dubai @ 9.29am

No UPS flights from Dubai to Cologne tmrw, I don't think that some flights are incognito: http://www.dubaiairport.com/en/passengers/flightstatus/pages/CargoDepartures.aspx

hahahaha ive seen it all now you guys are watching for flights with iphones on them

I bought my first apple product in April 2013 (if I don't count iPod for a friend as a Bday present).. I am addicted already.. )) never posted on forum before, registered today as I think it is quite funny talking about iPhone plane buddies :)

a recap for ya,
May have not departed as the scans seem to have occurred after the last plane departed and there are no planes tomorrow so they maybe getting the heat treatment till Tuesday.

good shopping?

Thank you. Good shopping with lunch thrown in too!

So do we think Tuesday or Wednesday delivery then?

I'm getting a new replacement. Apple Online Store Aftersales couldn't be more helpful. I get to keep my current (faulty) 5S until the new one arrives.

I have just learnt the hard way that if your have a problem with your online iPhone (or any Apple.com order for that matter) in the 14day return period, you are best speaking to the Apple Online Store Aftersales team on 0800 048 0408.

My iPhone 5s Space Grey 64GB is perfect other than the level being off (see this thread)

I made the mistake of contacting Apple via the online chat which resulted (I think) in me going through to Applecare. After a couple of days they said it was a hardware problem and I needed a replacement, so I booked the first available Genius appointment which was a week later. The Genuis then said that I should have contacted the online sales team as I was in my 14d return period! After I gave them some mediocre online feedback, the manager phoned back and told me it was a software issue and it should be fixed next week. This would be after my 14d return deadline, so I have just spoken to the After sales team. They reviewed my case and have agreed to extend my return deadline to 30 days in the hope the 7.0.3 patch fixes the level problem.

If I could I'd cancel the Three contract, use the Silver from the Apple store and then switch to a Gold in just under two weeks.

Does anyone know how I get out the Three contract? thanks

I'm pretty sure there's a 14 day cool-off period with any contract you take. Just go to the three store and say you don't want the contract anymore as it's within your 14 day right. Worse case is they will make you pay for what you have used (half a months rent) and a small cancellation fee (but i doubt it).

You are wrong, in the UK you have a 7 working day right of cancellation only for online and telephone orders. This is under the Distance Selling Regulations 2000.

If you go into a shop and buy you have no right of cancellation, the only way out would be if you could sweet talk the branch manager to take it back (extremely unlikely without a very good reason). Three also have a policy that the item has to be returned unused and sealed.

Basically the only way to get out the contract is to pay 24 x the monthly line rental minus any discount the network will give for an early termination.

IMEI: 357998...
Model: iPhone 5S
Activated: No

We put a SIM card (not nano... in fact, they didn't included a nano card just a normal and micro) from the PAYG package in another phone and after the SIM has been activated on the Three network we did an account reg. and filled in the online unlock form.
Still waiting for the call from Three regarding the payment.
BUT, here's what I saw when I did a check couple of minutes ago.

So, maybe, just maybe... this is going to work.
What do you think? :)

It might, I don't think anyone knows what Three's actual unlock process entails behind the scene.

looks like lots of people here are on the same plane out off Dubai :)

Arrived 7:54 left 16:48, to the Germany next then the UK :D

gonna have to disagree with you, otherwise whats the point of a departure scan? might as well have remained stuck on its arrival scan.

From the UPS website:

Departure Scan
"The shipment has departed a UPS facility and is on its way to the next UPS facility."

So where are the phones now? en route to Germany or still in Dubai?

i think they're in germany now, just need to be cleared with an import scan :)

oh, last year i had an iphone 5 on an O2 contract, bought from the apple store....i cancelled it after 12 days of use and only paid for the minutes/texts/data i had used. Are you talking specifically about three? in that case i'm wrong for assuming all carriers are similar.
