What do you mean come on Apple? They've stated when we will get our orders so there's no point to keep checking. Once the pallets/European consignment have been loaded onto the plane it will usually arrive in Amsterdam before being delivered to the UK. Once it's handed over to the courier we will get our orders between the 7th-10th just like the e-mail/website says. I've always ordered via the Apple Store and the delivery estimates are always accurate.

what i am trying to say is they should increase the production process. and why they are prioritising US? i think we ordered for the iphones before US.

And you have a working plan for that? The factories at the companies contracted are making them as fast as they can already...

the first plan is delayed launch. they should have launched by 6th october and have made enough units. and the other is prioritising the orders. not the ones coming from US only.

CPW just called. They apologised for the £50 premium Increase and informed me the sales team were not aware of the discrepancy. My complaint has been escalated.

I urge all CPW customers to contact complaints to request a partial refund. We may get lucky.

UPDATE - CPW called again. They have agreed to refund the difference. As the price dropped within 24 hours they are making a goodwill gesture. The doors are open for those that paid the premium on the 64gb model. Can't advise on other models I am afraid.

The order status wont change yet. They wont start dispatching until next monday at the earliest.

Having been through the same 'Pre-order on launch day' experience with the new iMac last December, I can vouch for the fact that my new iMac was scheduled for delivery on 2nd January ..... and it arrived on 24th December !

So, I know for a fact that the delivery estimates on the Apple Accounts are, what I would say were, 'Worst Case Scenarios'. I fully expect apple to beat those targets for delivery

So keep on checking that Delivery status (as I am doing :))

Is this your first iPhone launch or something? There's always short supply at the start. Apple has to get stock to all the global network operators, retail stores AND satisfy the millions of global orders they have taken on their own Apple Store website. It takes time and even Apple cannot satisfy the demand with all their available resources! Plus they would have had dedicated lines for the 5c to deal with also!

We will have all this again in 2 months when Microsoft & Sony launch their new consoles and people start whining because they haven't got there's at launch.

You can't just press a button and get a 10 million strong inventory. October 7th-10th isn't that far away. Just wait.

iPhone global demand is in a different league to the iMac demand. Again, last year I received my new iMac precisely when Apple said I would. They said I would receive it on 9th December about 2-3 weeks after I ordered it and it came on the 9th.

Neither of the Glasgow stores have any stock, will try again tomorrow.

Aye I was there this morning too, no luck, soon as the door opened all the people at front just went away. Talked to a employee and he said the Buchanan Street apple store actually got 5S's in on the Saturday night! He said it was a few hundred units and they sold all on the Sunday morning, I am gutted that's the only day I didn't go in since launch :(

Hopefully there was only no units today as maybe theres no delivery on Sunday nights who knows though, I should be trying the rest of this week if I get the time!

I live in Edinburgh so I just call both the stores and ask, I didn't really have high hopes for today as there are normally no Sunday deliveries.

That's really annoying, when I went in at 9am on Saturday morning one of the managers explicitly said they would get no stock in for Saturday or Sunday.

Did you notice the big group of guys at the front of the queue this morning, and standing around at the side? Some of them skipped me at the back of the queue, scalpers I reckon. Good thing there was none in stock really because I'd be annoyed if the guys who skipped me got one and I didn't.

Just came back from Bromley apple store, no shipments in and they are all clueless to when new stock will come in.

By the looks of things, online orders will prioritize before apple stores get restocked which could take a month before we see a iphone for sell in apple stores.

I'd say one or two deliveries every week to the major Apple stores probably.

On a side note, carphone wearhouse, ee, phones4u shops are full of iphone 5s for sell as long as you buy on contract.

Some of them even have signs on their windows saying they have instore stock.

So as long as you are willing to pay about £200 more over the 2 years you can have it now? I think I'll pass...

What happened with iphone 5 last time it was launch week?

Did apple stores get any stock then?

I didn't pay attention to it then, but remember something on the news about a limited supply too.

Might do the same, I ordered later too so mine is going to come in the last week at the very earliest.

Did they say it was the internal security check failure?
They told me that if I got one of those I'd have to wait 30 days before I can order online and that I best do it in store.

I rang them before my order had been processed apparently, so the woman I spoke to tried to process it manually but it failed due to the address differences. She then gave me the option of changing it to my billing address, but I asked for the phone to be delivered to a store for pick up instead. This was yesterday afternoon, and according to the delivery tracker my 5s should be in store for pickup by 1PM today!

I'm trying to put one through for store delivery, it's still processing though.

Apple should've done the same staggered release as it did before, especially with supplies at such ridiculous levels and making it worldwide release? wtf apple?

What he's trying to say is it shouldn't take this long to get our phones. They should have had stock in the country before launch. Not just at Apple stores.

Apple Stores had plentiful stock during the launch window of the iPhone 5. About a week afterwards when they started selling in the second wave of countries supplies here did dry up, but it was never as bad as it is now.

My 32GB grey from CPW just arrived. Feeling bittersweet. I'm glad to have a 5S in my hands but i haven't even opened it. I really didn't want to have to shell out a £50 premium and have it locked once i put my Three sim in it.

In other words i really wish the phone had come from Apple not CPW. Ugh! FFS! Apple. Meanwhile i just checked my online order...

I bought my 64GB 5 last November and had a few difficulties in tracking one down. Apple had none online and the Apple Store reserve and collect never had 64GB models in my local store. In the end I managed to get one from CPW.

Should they? They have orders for the whole globe to satisfy. Everyone ordering online knew that they could order on 20th and that it might take a week or two to deliver. The fact that they were not doing pre-orders should have told everyone that stock at launch was going to be extremely tight.

Any iPhone 5s that was in the country last week would have gone to network providers & retail (including Apple Stores). If anyone on here thought that online orders would take priority over retail, then I am not sure what to say to you. Most orders placed on Friday will be satisfied in about 2-3 weeks, this really isn't a big deal. People just have to wait, as you should have expected to do.

Send it back and wait for your order from Apple if you are not happy? Why did you order from CPW if it wasn't what you wanted? I don't get it.
