Boo! Are the Apple staff outside shouting this out?!

Little wonder the reserve and collect system hasn't been implemented here given that there is no stock to reserve and collect!

There were about 20 people waiting and a member of staff came out and told everyone. Limited 5C stock no 5S stock.

Just checked and there weren't any 5S' in today's White City delivery.

I think its the same for apple stores everywhere. I may try again Friday, but mine may have shipped by then.
Optimistic. I think those of us who ordered first at launch and got the "7-10 days", won't see them physically delivered to us until Monday the 7th of Oct at the very earliest.

I was literally there for 3min, I went and got a extortionately overpriced coffee and as I walked past there must have been 30 odd people outside.

I have two on order through apple so I think any later than Friday I may as well wait.

No worries. Will hopefully see you on Friday.
I've decided not to go any sooner !!

Well we can thank the scalpers for the low stock.
There's plenty on ebay. One seller has been able to shift 39 iPhone 5s's 64GB for £1k each

Even with scalpers there has always been plenty of stock and you could always pre order.

I think the blame lies solely with Apple whom obviously didn't prepare enough stock before launch.

No stock in Leeds, or Manchester. I always queue up at meadowhall for launches (first 5 people every time) but the one year I had to queue up I was out the country! I really want one sooner than my estimated online delivery arrives, without a contract.

Ah well looks like 07 Oct is going to be the best bet.

I think prioritising online orders would've helped avoid the scalpers, but instead mr.cook wants all stock to the stores for PR made by scalpers lining up lol:eek::rolleyes:

what are the chances they might get something tomorrow ?

does anyone know if the delivery comes in the morning before the store opens or is it any time during the day ?

Why do people keep asking these questions? How on earth do people on here know what the shops will get when the shops don't know themselves?

With o2 and apparently;
Gold up to 12 weeks
Silver up to 4 weeks
Grey up to two weeks

just been told this for my order that started at 3-5 days when ordered

No sign of stock at Brent cross. I think I'm going to give up for the month, don't see it coming back into stock in the UK anytime soon. It seems like they have prioritised China this year and neglected the rest of the world!

Frustrating for me as I have an apple store gift card that can only be used in store, so my purchase options are severely limited because of this!

Mr Cook wants to increase the number of sales in retail stores but seems to be overlooking the fact that they need stock for us to buy! Will avoid it like the plague for iphone purchases after this year.

I popped into apple store Stratford and the guy said they've sold out. They had 2000 on launch day sold out by end of day. Next delivery for them is October were his exact words. Then he tried to sell me a 5c. Not looking good got an O2 recycle rapidly running out of time not happy with apple on this launch!

I don't know why Apple Store staff make estimations like this - no staff in store is given any information about when to expect stock. Just because the online store says October doesn't mean retail stores will be sold-out til October - they operate separately and wait times online always extend into the future soon after the launch of a new product, while retail store supplies generally hold up, although this time around supplies do seem particularly tight.
