Noone went for a higher memory option?
I have a 512GB 15pm, and even though 256 would be more then enough for me, I cant bring myself to get the 256. I want the 512 again..........just to 'future proof'........LOL

I went for 256GB again... I checked my Pro and have barely used 50% of my 256GB storage. I have Apple One with 2TB storage... I am absolutely fine with 256GB for a another year or 2 easily.


Question: Is there a chance to change the trade-in from sending out to drop off in store?

If you’re picking your new phone up from a store, you can trade the device with them there and then. I done that last year. Got the money for device that day.
I did get a random email saying I hadn’t returned the old phone, messaged online and they sorted it.

It is generally safer to set up your new phone before giving up your old phone. Last year I nearly lost one of my daily use apps, as I gave up my old phone for trade in on the day I bought the new phone. That app had been withdrawn from the App Store, so they only way to copy it to the new phone was a direct copy via a computer. Fortunately I had a copy of that app downloaded to one of my iPads otherwise I'd have lost it forever. I'm never going to trade in on the day again.

For what it is worth it is no longer possible to reserve a new iPhone for pick up on Friday from any London Apple Stores. It was still possible last night.

My suspicion is still that there is a lot of stock floating around, so it might still be possible to just walk into a store and buy next week.

Just got my DPD tracking info but tracking is not working for now, presume by tonight it should be up and running. Ordered a 17 Pro Max in silver this year and going to make my 16 pro max my work phone. I'm flying out to New York on saturday so hoping to pick up a Apple Watch Ultra 3

Mine has shipped DHL and the wife’s DPD so one delivery in the morning and one late afternoon

On a positive side... I'll have my 17 PM/Watch 11/APP3 all in hand by 10:30AM tomorrow won't need to sit about tracking deliveries and listening for the DPD/DHL person.

Pro vs Pro Max the only difference is basically screen size and battery.

This is the size difference (see attached images). If you want to get into the details then the Pro has a resolution of 1206 x 2622 and a screen to body ratio of 89.4%. The Pro Max is 1320 x 2868 with a screen to body ratio of 90.7%

The Pro is ~27G lighter

Only the Pro Max comes with 2TB storage.

and battery difference is (pro left, pro max right):

For whatever it's worth, the EU label rates the Pro at endurance battery of 47hrs and the Pro Max at 53hrs. I don't know exactly how they get those numbers but that's what it says.

I'm definitely in the minority here with my base 17 in white and trading in my 14 Pro. Since buying a mirrorless camera, I just don't need the telephoto or extra processing power these days. Excited to have a thinner and lighter phone (that has double the storage and is faster than my 14 Pro!) but still with the ultra-wide camera, new front facing camera and ProMotion.

I have a TB currently coming tomorrow. Current phone is on 483 gb used

Just spoke with Apple: If you trade in on Finance the suggestion is to stick to sending the old phone in. If you buy outright you can drop it off in store.

I have a 512GB 15 Pro Max too

I've only used about 70GB of it. Now I deleted the one game I played it's at ~49GB used. There is still 463GB left.

This time I've went with the 256GB. Doesn't make any sense at all to go for 512GB again. I only went with 512GB on the 15 PM because I could afford it and didn't care. This time I can still afford it but I'd rather not waste money now I know for sure I am likely never going to use it. The trade in value at the end of the day isn't worth it.

I never realised how much emphasis people put on their phone speakers and the air only having one? I never thought any phone sounded decently stereo anyway.

Yeah! the speaker thing is new.

I rarely use them, and if I do, it's to play something out loud when I'm not near the phone so the loss of stereo doens't impact me personally. Although when I'm sitting in front of my phone and watching a TV show or movie, the stereo speakers on my 15 pro max sound great. Again rare as I always use my airpods in those situations.
