Other UK iPhone XS Ordering?

Guys query about the Apple upgrade program....
I've never bought into the program but may wish to do so this year.
From what I've read online it looks like you have to enter the program via the store?
So I guess there is no way I could order on the 12th (if pre-orders are being taken) for collection on the 14th in Store?
Basically I want to order the XS (reserve it if you wish) [along with an AW4] and collect on day 1 and use the upgrade program.
The only photo ID I have is my works pass hoping that would suffice.

I asked something similar earlier.
You can reserve one during the pre-order period and then collect on day one (If you're fast enough) after doing the whole IUP procedure instore.

And in terms of ID, pretty sure only a passport and driving license will be accepted.

Your best bet would be to just apply for a provisional license, which would be handy to have in other situations.

When pre-orders open you have two different options, buying outright there and then which can be delivered to you at home or collected at store, or reserving one to collect and pay for on launch day, and if not collected on launch day it will be released for someone else to buy the next day. You need to do the latter however you have to be really quick as you can only reserve if the specific store still has launch day stock.

Your work pass won't be valid ID, you need a drivers licence or a passport.

Yeah I spoke to Apple and they confirmed a 'modern' photo ID license or current passport only so I'll have to bite the bullet and order online at the full price. My good lady will be at home on the 14th, so I'm hoping to order on the 12th for delivery at home on the 14th (worst case I'll go in store to collect).

Oh, I've got a full license but it is an old style paper one with no photoID.

You will not be able to order on the 12th. You should be able to order on the 14th, probably for delivery on the 21st

Drat, we'll have to see then, may have to order and collect on the 23rd.
