    I thought i would treat myself to the new decent spec iPad as my ipad 2 was a bit slow and crusty,new lower price affordable iPad eh! US release was retailing at $329 I thought oh yes the UK would be about £319 or a cheeky £329!

    **** no,..... they want more


    Starting at £339. cheers Apple......£263 is the actual rate as of 25/3/17


    WHAT GIVES APPLE?????? £77 extra for the joy of living in the UK

    Don't forget the US prices don't include tax. If you add VAT to your converted dollar price you are then up to about £315. So whilst there is still a premium for living in the UK, most of that comes from the government not Apple.

    Get used to higher prices...

    It's should hardly surprise you unless you were in a coma for the last 7 months.

    That'll be cheap once crazy May enacts brexit. Then your currency will nosedive. Best to buy greenbacks tomorrow to insulate yourself from the deep dive!

    Reality, of course, also dictates that the sell price is based on the market. Apple thinks it can get that price. Apple is not bound to charge the same rate adjusted for currency exchange.
