Hi,

I've got a few systems that need logic board fixes:
* MacBook Pro Core Duo - failed firewire chip
* MacBook Pro Core 2 Duo - failed NVidia graphics card
* iBook G3 500 - dodgy ATI graphics card

Anyone have recommendations for a reliable person or business who could carry out these repairs? I'm not looking for a direct deal here, and don't mind paying more than eBay prices (and perhaps than the parts are worth!) to get them fixed correctly.

I'd like to have the chips re-seated on the original boards. Also, the Core Duo board has hand soldered wires on - is it possible to get this repaired without heating the whole board?

[doublepost=1567461710][/doublepost]One idea is to try reflowing the boards. There are plenty of videos about how to do it, and sometimes it works. Never tried it myself, but thought I would mention it.

To do that economically you probably need someone local to you. Asking locally is more likely to get a good response, but on the off chance there is someone local on here and sses your post, where in the UK are you?

I'm in Kent, but happy to post to a reputable business, and I'm in London fairly frequently.
