uk: new app being reviewed by apple

    Download to watch in the future is a good feature. I would pay for this. Lets hope Apple approves it.

    From the press release seems quite good, if the BBC objects is another matter. If in future it will support the BBC, 4oD and ITV catchup this will be a killer application for the UK market.

    Even if the BBC don't take legal action (which seems unlikely), one would note that contrary to the press release, ITV and 4OD don't use RTMP for their streams - they use RTMPE.

    RTMPE is a patented, closed source proprietry Adobe owned protocol used as part of Flash - if this company tries to reverse engineer that they will be in a whole world of pain (as well as possible criminal charges in the UK - not getting sued, it's an actual criminal offense with possible jail time attached).
