What news apps do UK users use? I'm interested to know what people think is best. I've been using the BBC News app for a while but don't find it that nice to use. I'm also not the biggest fan of the Apple News app either.

I just use Twitter and follow a few independent news outlets.

No particular apps? I was thinging of trying a few like HuffPost and Reuters

I use TheGuardian. The notifications are quick and relevant and there's deep-dive if you need it.

Squid is interesting for the way it gives you bite sized snippets in an quick to read format.

I guess it's just down to what you're after from an app.

Have a browse of the News category - there's plenty to choose from!

I personally prefer to just flick through Twitter as it's all in one place and I can't be bothered with other apps filling my screen. Used to use Flipboard a while ago though...

I use the rss feed app inoreader with the bbc uk rss feed, ideal for slow connections as you just see the text headlines first. You can add multiple rss feeds for most bbc news sections and even for macrumors.

I've stopped watching / reading BBC news altogether as I no longer find it trustworthy or unbiased.

I have the Guardian app on my iPhone, which I like a lot — latest news updates in a feed, lots and lots of news stories, and longer reads available — and the Times app on my iPad. The Times is odd because it's not continually updated during the day. The app is basically like a physical newspaper: it's the news at the time it was printed. But it's well done.

On TV I now watch Sky News.

Totally agree on BBC news, but then again most of the large news outlets are biased. Hence why I don’t use any of them. The Guardian is pretty good though.
