It now lists 2 business days for the entry-level iMac. Surely that's a sign of a refresh soon?

I'm remaining hopeful still.

Sorry for the double post but it's gone back up to 24 hours again. Sad face.

maybe i'm a total idiot, but how does this show a refresh is soon? Not that I'm saying it's not, i just dont understand the connection

Past results are apple stores stop bringing in stock of older models and then 2 ,3, 4 day delays pop up until the new one comes out. This has happened time and time again.

There is one small difference in this case:

Japan had the EQ/Nuke disaster.

I know that it closed many part factories in quite a few industries. Maybe just maybe the delay is due to a small part like a cap made in Japan and not an upcoming refresh.

It means there is less stock being produced, which in turn suggests that the model may be being discontinued, which means there could be a refresh soon.

I'm really hoping for this tuesday...

Tuesday, May 3rd.

No later than that. Could be as early as the 26th. When 3rd parties start showing constraints, it's getting close. When apple's own ship times slip, it's imminent.

You make a good point!

Did you care to check the other products ?

All eyes and focus is on iMac - maybe the other products also have 2 days delivery time because if Easter. I didn't mind checking it, just guessing ;)

Nonsense. It's two business days. The listed ship times never change for a holiday even if the product in fact ends up getting to you a day later.

Just had a quick look on other products in a few of those countries and a lot of them are set for 2 business days, so maybe this might just be an issue because of the tsunami/earthquake that happened in Japan and Apples suppliers are having troubles getting enough stock, like the iPad..

(just a guess)

Ok, so why would it be harder to deliver the 21,5 imac than the other ones in sweden due easter? It makes no sense! Why is it so hard to realize that the refresh is around the corner?:confused::confused:
