A metal band is also not recommended to wear whilst playing sports ;)

No but that why the watch bands are interchangable

Some smart arse exec will have worked out that if you buy the watch you could also buy the flouroelastomer or a metal so you change the straps to suit i.e. gym or going out for a meal or in a business environment

if you buy the sport your stuck with a rather quirky watch that many people would be put off by

Again they will have a demographic for each watch type if we know anything Apple are absolute masters at extracting as much money as they can from customers but we all know that any buy the stuff anyway well at least i do

At what price point do tradiotonal watches get sapphire crystal as opposed to some form of glass?

I'm not into watches so genuinely have no clue, however I absolutely cannot see apple being the cheapest watch with sapphire, so it might give us a clue as to starting price for the ss Apple watch.

This was my thinking. They are aiming at mid range watches. My Raymond Weil has sapphire crystal and stainless steel body and leather strap. I paid £400 for it a few years ago.

I was wondering about finance. Most Jewelers offer interest free finance on watches. Will Apple do the same? We all know that subsidised iPhones are really interest free loans from the carriers so I can see Apple offering this service.

If this picture is to be believed then the :apple: Watch looks quite water resistant, that guy isn't just putting a little water on his face, he's splashing it. Will be interesting to know how water resistant the Watch will be.
