Well the Austrian store is also down as well as the German and Dutch. Perhaps something bigger, plus it is in the middle of the day they perfer to do maintance late at night.

All down:

Germany
Holland
Sweden
Austrian
UK
Ireland
Norway
Italy
Spain
France
Switzerland
Finland

+ probably many more.

Lol don't count on it! They're probably just doing the UK store up to look more like the US one.

The UK store had already been updated to look like the US one.

I suspect it'll have something to do with iPhone. It's due to go on sale in November in the UK, so they could start to take pre-orders. (Doesn't look like this now, as most stores - apart from US and Canadian - are now down).

Alternatively the UK store has gone down, and the others will follow suit shortly, and it's Leopard-related.

It's 3:30 am in Cupertino :)

French store down also.

What day is it today?? :D

PS: Sorry xUKHCx didn't see you edited your post.

Don't think a new product - hopping for Leopard! Ordered an iMac yesterday. :)

Did any of the European sites have the EA games that have made their way onto the American Apple site. Hopefully it is more than that.

iPhone can be ruled out - Switzerland's not getting it until late 2008 and the Swiss store is also down.

This is the normal European maintenance-window - they have these every other month or so, always the same pattern, always the same time.

Anyone know why Apple has to shut the whole thing down whenever they change anything? It's 2007 after all!

Emil

Yeah, Leopard pre-orders would be nice. :)

I'll never pre-order an Apple product again... They always end up in stores long before all the pre-orders are fulfilled. My touch still hasn't shipped - and it's already available in non-Apple retail here.
