so if i was to buy an iphone 3g or 3gs on pay as you go i cud just put any o2 simplicity sim into it and it will work no need for jailbreaking or anything
My contract ends at the end of the month so I rang o2 today and asked if I could move onto Simplicity for iPhone. It was no problem at all, I thought I would have to get a new sim and port the number over but I didn't, they just changed the contract over.
Visual Voicemail stopped working almost as soon as I had put the phone down, and when I left my wifi network I noticed I didn't have a data connection but I restarted the phone and it all started working and is still working fine at the moment. The voicemails I did have saved in Visual Voicemail have gone and got replaced by a new voicemail. But it all seems to be working fine now.
I have done some digging and it seems Visual Voicemail will work when an iPhone contract has run its course and gets changed to Simplicity for iPhone but it doesn't work if you just get the normal Simplicity plan.
Mine contract ends on the 11th Feb....Ive not contacted O2 yet. So best bet is phone O2 202 from your iPhone? Is that free?
Ask to speak to retentions
Ask to be put on the new iPhone £20 deal? With VVmail etc.
What about insurance? Iam currently paying 7.50 per month.
Appreciate any advise
I called 2302 2 days ago from my iPhone. Menu options 2,2,1,2. Explained I wanted to go onto the iPhone Simplicity 20 package. He asked where I'd heard about it, so I said O2 online forums and that was fine. VVM is working fine, and the new tariff shows up in MyO2 as active.
Can't comment on insurance as it's not something I bother with.
