hi, ive heard rumours that orange and 3 and vodaphone are getting iphone.

anybody know anything? has there been an official announcement?
So its best to wait and see the price of tarrifs etc, as i guess it will mean price competition and 3 are known to be quite competitive.

any info/news, tips, advice about this situation please post here.

cheers.

Three are not getting the iPhone, they have been buying unlocked ones unofficially and using them as a retention tool. The only networks officially announced are Vodafone, Orange and of course O2.

There have been no tariff details or handset prices announced by either of them yet. We'll just have to be patient and wait for an announcement.

They are using them to retain high value customers who threaten to leave.

no way!

im planning to leave them at xmas, been with them for over 3 years.

im just gonna write them a letter asking for termination and my pac code.
i hate their customer service calls.

The networks have already confirmed that there wont be a price war in terms of tariff price. Possibly more mins and text. The reason they wont enter a price war is because the iPhone makes poor profit margins.
