Ultra 1 > S9 = Shocking

After having an Ultra for a year sold it last year, bought it for surfing but the screen was just too funky in the water and felt heavy surfing, ok in general use. Just got a base S9 45mm midnight to try, wow these are just shocking in comparison, glass smudges so easily, stuff gets between the frame and glass, looks dirty all the time even after 1 days use, so small just feels cheap.
Guess that's why they are half the price. Returning it.
Anyone else go from ultra 1 to S9 back to ultra 2?

The Ultra is much more suited for activities like surfing than the standard AW. I'm not sure how the weight would be noticeable doing that. I had an S5 for years and never had dirt buildup between the frame and glass, but I also wasn't surfing with it. Also, no AW screens work that well in water. You've got to put it on water lock mode or just use the digital crown and buttons.

Didn't surf in the s9 or planned too, was used to a lighter ripcurl so the ultra felt heavy. S9 midnight is a smudge magnet. I had a S5 too.

probs what I mean is you notice it's there where a cheap plastic ripcurl are so light you don't

I sold my Ultra for S9 stainless steel. Not a single second to regret.

Midnight alu has Ion-X glass, not sapphire like Ultra and steel Watches.
