Yeah, weird for sure. I didn’t take mine completely out of the shipping bag to inspect. Just peeled the seal off to see what it was inside since I didn’t think Apple would’ve shipped it like. A little comfort in knowing it’s not just me but I did notice some dents and dings in the Watch box. Appreciate the reply.Mine did. It came in a grey padded baggy. Thought that was different. But what was more weird was that the Ultra 2 box had dark smudges / finger prints on the main sleeve. But then when I opened the sleeve the Ultra box and watch band box both had smudges too. I thought that someone must’ve already opened everything, but it all looked ok and the little pull tabs were still secure. Kinda weird tho.
You’re welcome. I had a couple dings and dents to the boxes too.Yeah, weird for sure. I didn’t take mine completely out of the shipping bag to inspect. Very un-Apple like. Their stuff always came pristine, box and all. You’re welcome. I had a couple dings and dents to the boxes too.
Hmm, interesting… My 15 Pro Max and my wife’s 15 Pro and Hermes watch all came in the brown box. As did my Apple Card and our phone cases a few days prior. Was weird seeing this thing sitting on my porch with the other stuff in a completely different packaging. My Apple Watch ultra that I ordered from Apple came in a brown cardboard box, no gray bag.
I’m no expert in the environment or the movement to carbon neutrality, but isn’t plastic like a big no-no? This was a huge deal at the keynote a couple weeks ago so much they had Mother Nature visit.
I thought Apple always packaged their own products before sending to the courier. It’s definitely not FedEx or UPS putting them in those very nicely designed cardboard shipping boxes. I thought they wanted that total control, including shipping materials. It wasn't like that straight from Apple probably. They can't control what their carriers use.
