Two weeks ago I went from a AW 7 to the Ultra 2 and so far love it, except I had to return the first one because the side button rattled when clicking and haptic alerts. A week ago I exchanged it and the side button and everything else is good. It took nightly wrist temperature readings the first 4 nights but hasn't the past 2 nights. I haven't changed anything with my sleep settings or sleep focus and checked the settings and everything is still good there. Only difference is my sleeping HR went into the low 40s the past 2 nights which isn't uncommon and wouldn't think that would make a difference.

Any ideas or do I need to make another trip to the Apple Store? I don't think there is a way to manually trigger it which would make it easy to test the sensor.

I seem to recall that the watch needs a week or so to set the baseline, in the wrist temp section of the Health app - are there no entries for the past 2 days?

Exactly - it was working then suddenly no data for the last 2 nights.

There are no entries for the last 2 days and Apple Watch is set as a data source.
I recall when I first got my Ultra that the summary screen showed like yours (x days remaining) but there was data recorded.
Do you have sleep data for those 2 days? Do you enable sleep tracking manually or per schedule? I’d also reboot the watch if you haven’t done that yet

@jz0309 I have my sleep schedule automatic and have sleep data for those days. I do have theater mode automatically turn on with sleep focus but I've done that forever and was getting wrist temperature the first few days, so don't think it's that.

I turned off wrist temperature and rebooted watch and phone, then turned it back on. Now I'll just see if I get a reading this evening. It's a bummer you can't just trigger a manual reading which would make this troubleshooting so much easier.

I chatted with Apple support and they ran diagnostics and everything checked out fine with the watch.

good luck, let us know

It's the same with my Ultra 1. Since watchOS 10.1 it just stopped working. Once i restart and turn off/on wrist temprature option in settings it starts tracking again, but then couple days later it stops working. Basically now have to restart the watch every day for it to work.

After the turn off, reboot both devices, and turn back on it was back working again. Just like what you're experiencing @imvaid .
