Ultra 4 band choice

About to buy an Ultra 4. I had a Series 4 a very long time ago and sold it because I didn’t wear it very often. I’m excited to buy this one and actually be more engaged with it this time!

I’m a very active person (running, hiking, walking) and looking for the best band for comfort and durability. Which standard band should I get that comes with the watch? Also, what is the best band to pay extra for to have (I may purchase one day)?

That is very subjective, me personally, ocean bands.
There's a thread here or in the AW accessories forum about "the most comfortable" band or actually a few threads. You certainly get lots of opinions ...

Ocean band here as well. Knock on wood, it’s never come off. That’s swimming, motorcycling, etc.

I have all four of the Apple branded bands... I bought the Ocean second to last (milanese was last) because I thought it would be the worst. I was wrong. It's the only one I wear now. The reason for this is exactly as you described. I am very active and it was annoying to wash the cloth based bands frequently. They are all relatively comfortable in my opinion and so this didn't make a difference. The ocean bands also seem to hold up better for me (no fading). Just my opinion.

I wear a cheap cloth type band. I sweat a lot and it gets wet often but doesn't feel odd when wet.

The ocean band is a rubber material? Does it feel odd when you sweat? Like slippery, moist, etc?

I can't see paying $100 for an Apple branded band but have never tried an ocean.

I went for the gray translucent ocean band…….i hate the hassle of putting them on….i have a black ocean band
Magnetic link bracelets are my daily drivers followed by Nike

Color selection is difficult for me as well. I am about to go with the above. The new Ocean Bands look cheap to me

I have trashed all my cloth bands too often and hate having to wash them. I don’t like the loop over look.

Very true... I have a couple of Alpine bands for my U1 and they get dirty quickly... and show it. Frequent washing / drying off the watch. They're nice to wear but if you're in the gym, out and about training etc, they will get sweaty and dirty and take more maintenance.

Silicone bands are just a quick wash while in the shower and towel dry and ya done.

Are there any real world pictures of the Burgundy Alpine Loop band with the Ultra 4 in Natural?
Or even the Dark Olive band?
