noticed my call volume was low but didn’t think more. took the ultra in the water for a swim and noticed the new water unlock sound is very quiet compared to the s6. also has the muffled notification sounds which shows the water didn’t come all out. has this been anyone else’s experience? for a rugged watch the speakers and acidity to clear water seem sub-par to the regular AW

Not sure about this.
You kinda omitted the depth you used the watch.
maybe 2 feet. was a local pool. all other Aws never had the issue. the water ejection was far louder on my aw6. ultra is barely audible when ejecting

I may be wrong, but I think the size of the speaker is larger on the AWU and therefore uses a different tone to eject water that is optimal for the larger size. Seems to work the same for me, but it uses a lower tone which is “different” for sure. I usually eject water 2-3 times as I have always done to make sure and clear as much as possible. I could be wrong as I am only speaking from observations.

update: took it in, had to go out for repair. came back and they couldn’t find anything wrong. big surprise. so in a year i’ll smash it and get a new one via apple care. think the **** call volume and low water eject volume is just bad design.

Mine is the same, brand new, speaker volume goes to **** after every swim. I ejected the water using the normal water eject feature many times. Takes hours to dry out properly.
