Hello guys

I would want to change my ultra 1 with aw10.
What do you want think about it?

Thank u

I’d probably go ultra to ultra. Rather than ultra to aw10. For reasons Like the other commenter said about battery life, as well as durability.

thank u for support, i thnik the reason to keep ultra is only battery.
for all, the aw10 is better.

Battery life and size aside, for me it came down to looks. I started with AW SE, then upgraded to a S7 Natural Titanium. I was all set to get the S10 NaTi, but some photos of the black U2 and a few posts swayed me to the U2. Now, the S10 just looks kinda plain, very much the same watch I've had for four + years, whereas the U2 is quite different. Size and weight aren't an issue for me. FWIW I kept the S7 so I have the best of all words.

I just went through a similar situation... I am upgrading from a S4 Nike + AW and looked deeply into the AWU2 as my update option.

After some research I ultimately traded in my S4 today ($50 from Apple directly) and went with the Jet Black S10 AW in 46mm.

The biggest deciding factor for me was how quickly the S10 can charge. Outside of the casing material on the AWU2, I didn't see the value in paying almost double the price for longer battery life when you can get up to 80% in a 30 min charge on the S10.

I had an ultra for 2 years and, although I appreciated the longer battery, I charge my watch every night anyways so that didn't make much difference to me. I have quite a few leather and metal bands from Apple, and overall the look of the ultra is just too "utilitarian" for me whereas I felt I wanted the watch to look more elegant. I traded the ultra for a Ti S10 Silver and this works much better for me. Same big screen, pretty good battery that lasts me well for a day until I charge at night, and I can dress it up in the evenings with any of my leather/metal bands. I have a 7.5 inch wrist size for reference, so the size wasn't an issue for me. Just the unnecessary bulkiness (esp now that the s10 has the same size screen) I grew tired of over the time I had it.

Don't worry, no matter what you do there will be a new model next year to bring about that upgrade anxiety knowing you won't have the latest and greatest anymore.

What are you really getting out of a 10 that your Ultra can't do?

AWU charges pretty fast too, maybe not 30 min to 80% fast. But a quick 10-15 min charge does last awhile. I don't think you should have any concern with the battery or charging on AWU.

Take it for what it’s worth, I just made a thread about this and I went from an ultra 1 to a series 10 and battery life is great. The series 10 is weightless on the wrist. So much nicer than my ultra. I was always charging my ultra the next day when I woke up anyway. Now doing the same with my series 10 so I don’t notice any real world difference in battery

No question the AWU / U2 will have much better battery life without having to charge it but just having the ability to quickly charge the S10 with all the other offerings was simply the best choice for me at that price point.

And, I absolutely love the feel and additional real estate of the screen.
