Looks like the owner of that blog is just copying and pasting the contents of the Dev Team blog into their website, in nasty unformatted way.

They link to the Dev Team as well. Avoid it and just consult the link above. Simple
 
Will redsn0w unlock the iPhone 3G or just jailbreak. I have searched but I wm getting conflictive answers.

Jailbreak ONLY.

It unlocks and Jailbreaks the iPhone 2G.
It ONLY jailbreaks the iPod Touch 1G and 2G, as well as the iPhone 3G.
 
Thanks for the info guys. I appreciate it. The update for ultrasn0w is downloaded from cydia when it comes out. Does it just install and configure everything or do you have to get thr network settings installed.
 
Install it, turn off your phone, pop the SIM card in, restart the phone and hey presto, you're unlocked.

When it comes out, of course! 😛
 
wait, how can you get on the phone if it's only JB? I thought it had to be unlocked to even use the phone?

How would I get to cydia if the phone's locked 😛?
