Good evening, I'm looking for some recommendations on UW displays. I have a M1 MBP so I'd love to have USB C option. I'm looking at the 34inch. I'd like to keep cost under $600. My primary use is MS Office, Safari (research), email. On the side photo editing for fun.

*edit* Side note, I'll probably be using this with my IPP once they work all the bugs out of IPADOS 16.

I recommend going 5K2K instead of 1440p. Font rendering on macOS is so much better on high-DPI displays.
Keeping to the $600 price range, however, isn't possible for a 5K2K panel.
Otherwise, just be aware that font rendering won't look anywhere as good as on your MacBook Pro.

Edit: just saw you've got an M1 machine. If it's the M1 and not the M1 Pro/Max, I don't think they fully support a 5K2K panel. Consider a 32" 4K display instead -- again, for better font rendering.

If you’re referring to the 3008-pixels width limit for scaled HiDPI modes, that can be overcome using BetterDummy.
Apart from that, the M1 can run 6K on the XDR so “5K2K”should be no problemo.

Yes, that's what I was thinking of. Anyway, something for the OP to be aware of.
