i have installed a battery health app, it says I'm 98% full, not charging ( is plugged in ) BUT one of my battery cells is 0%

😕 im confused, does this mean that one of my batteries is broken??

It's normal that it stops charging between 93-99%. This should answer most, if not all, of your battery questions:

that wasn't my question, the battery app i have shows 3 cells, both are full, one is empty

What app is it? What does System Profiler show as your battery condition?

its called battery inspector, system profiler??? the system information power tab? it says normal but idk the app was showing 3 full cells a week or 2 ago....

I would trust Mac OS X more than a 3rd party app. For battery specs, iStat Pro and iStat Menus are pretty reliable. Even coconutBattery has known issues.

Battery Information:

Your battery is fine. I would disregard the Battery Inspector report on cells. I can't find detailed stats on that battery model, but I believe it has 12 cells, not 3. If that's the case, the cell report in BI is bogus, anyway.

The app is wrong, delete it as it is only giving you misleading information, you really dont need to worry too much at all about the battery in a newer Mac
