Umm... What's Going On?

I have 2 problems right now. One is that on every window except a Finder windows, that is a shadow corner on the top. Better look in the picture below. I think this started when I updated to 10.4.3.

Other problem is that my iBook takes up to 30 seconds to go to sleep whether pressing the power button or closing the lid. What's up? This all started when I updated to 10.4.3. Any solutions?

I didn't download any themes. I updated iTunes, downloaded some songs and videos and that's it.

A more specific title would have also helped...
On topic: yeah, that's pretty strange. Sorry, I have no idea why that is happening. Of course, I have to tell you the usual routine: repair permissions, reset PRAM, cron scripts etc etc. Don't know what one of those mean, just ask or do a search on the forums.
