It's not listed on Apple's website. Where can one buy an iphone 4S with iOS 5, 6, or 7 on it? My mom wants one for her friend. I remember seeing it in 16, 32, 64 versions not too long ago. Its definitely better than the 5C, which is still listed. So confused.
The 5C has better internal parts than the 4S. The 4S has been discontinued. You may still be able to find it at carrier or third part stores, all running iOS 7.
I just saw it not too long ago on Apple's site. Probably at the beginning of the month. IS it possible to get it with iOS 5, or 6 so its not slow and has that classic apple look?
Looks are highly subjective and are by no means something to base a judgement of which is better upon. You can only get an iPhone 4S with iOS 5 or 6 from eBay or another second hand reseller. They are hard to find, especially running iOS 5. They were removed from Apple's site on the 12th of September.
The screen of the iphone 4S is too small, also the quality of the screen of the iphone 5S o 5C is a lot better. The extra size of the screen and the lightweight of the 5 makes a smart choice. The 4S is too heavy. The best option is the iphone 5S, the 5C feels cheap and because the case is lighter if you drop it, the screen always hit the floor first. View drop test videos and see this
Piffle. The first and second generation iPhones were fine, but the 4/4S is really beautiful. The only better looking iPhone they've ever made is the 6/6 Plus in my opinion.
This are the weights: 4S ( 140g ) 5S ( 117g ) 5C ( 132g ) 6 ( 129g ) The 4S is nice but too heavy, I also like that iphone a lot, but the iphone 5S screen and less weight makes it better.
I like the weight of the 4S. As a designed object I think it looks better than the 5 too. The 5 looks weirdly stretched out.
The iPhone 4/4s is the best looking iPhone to date. Not only does it win in the looks department, but it's very easy to hold. Making a phone too thin is not always good. The iPhone 5/5s was a terrible design that bent and scuffed. I do not blame the OP for wanting the 4s and even iOS 5/6. Those were Apple's best days.
The 4S was only available in an 8GB model from when the iPhone 5S launched. It was discontinued with the release of the iPhone 6. Up until the iPhone 5S launch it was available as the mid-range model in a 16GB capacity. The iPhone 4S hasn't been available in capacities greater than 16GB since it was Apple's flagship phone (late 2011 through to late 2012 with the release of the iPhone 5). You may be able to find new-in-box 8GB models around in some non-Apple retail stores. They will all be running iOS 7. Older models you'll need to find from online outlets like eBay etc.
Seriously? Oh, happy day if true! Finally, that phone has died. Go on you little toad and suffer the same fate Apple put the iPhone 5 through in your favor! ---------- No. That would be the iPhone 5. Thinner than the 4/4s and an actual solid black band, not stainless steel. And don't talk to me about chipping or scuffgate. The 4/4s had antennagate and the glass back has a bad habit of breaking. ---------- No again the best looking would be the iPhone 5. <shudder>iPhone 6/6+</shudder>
