Hi guys,

Following obtaining my new iPhone Xs Max, last evening, I tried the usual restore from iCloud backup like every other time. Everything has gone ahead successfully, other than being able to activate Apple Pay.

I have 2 cards saved on the cloud for this and they appear automatically during the process of restoring the device but when I try to activate them, the device shows the same error for both of them - Unable to add your card - please contact the card issuer.

The weird thing is that I never needed to do this before and both the issuers couldn’t be having the same issue.

Does anyone have any idea here?
 
Tried it this morning again and it seems to have worked now. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Something else was up last night.
