I have 2 cards in the iPhone wallet app.... Both Wells Fargo. One debit card and the other a credit card.

I successfully added the credit card to the Apple Watch wallet app but when I'm trying to add the debit card I keep getting an error message that reads "card not added. Contact your card issuer for more information."

Called Wells Fargo and they told me to contact Apple - which they don't have a clue either.

I've unpaired the watch from my iPhone a couple of times and done a bunch of hard resets to both the watch and the phone to no avail.

Has this happened to anyone else before. I'm looking for a resolution. Thanks

Seems like you executed process of elimination through most steps. I would erase all content and settings, set up as new Apple Watch, then re-add your cards.

Yeah I was avoiding doing that but it looks like it might be my last resort. Thanks for your reply

All of my Apple Watches run beta software so I am used to a buggy experience.

Saying that I find it best when adding cards to my Apple Pay Wallet I use the direct method of adding cards to my watch. I do not use the shown cards from my phone to do it and that works best for me with the developers beta I'm running.

Give it a shot it can't hurt.

There are 2 ways to add a card to the Watch, both from within the Watch app - Apple Pay section.

The most illogical is where it shows you cards on your iPhone. There is an add card button next to each existing card.

The 2nd option is below the above and designed for cards not already on your iPhone.

In the past people have had more success with this second option.
