Unable to check for update??

When trying to update to ios 10.0.2 I keep getting an error Aunable to check for update, an error occured while checking for a software update. Iphone 7 plus on Verizon, anyone else getting this?

Have you tried doing it while on WiFi (if possible) or vice versa? What about restarting the device and then trying it again?

Sorry I should have mentioned that, I did do a reset and that didnt do it. Im at work now so cant try wifi, weird because Ive never had a problem checking for an update on LTE just coudnt download it until I was on WIFI. Just tried doing it thru itunes and it seems to be updating 🙂

Scratch that, looks like it was working but no go, back to square 1. Keeps giving me same message
