unable to copy video to movies folder

hi, i have no idea why this is not working.
i have 136gb on my macbook pro
and when i try to copy a video to the "movies" folder it wont let me.

Open /Applications/Utilities/Disk Utility and open it. Then highlight you drive and do a "Repair Permissions" on the drive. Then try to add the file again.

the video is 8gb, its the shutter island dvd. i ripped it to my mac
