I saved several web apps from OpenAppMkt to my iPhone 4 home screen when I was running stock iOS 4.0.1. Since updating to iOS 4.2.1, I have been unable to permanently remove these icons. When I remove them, they return after a few hour, or reboot. I am still having this issue with iOS 4.3.
These icons show up in iTunes under the app tab for my phone, but I can not remove them from here either.
Any suggestions? I want to avoid rebuilding and losing my application save data.

Very strange... I would recommend you submit a bug report to Apple. There have been a few bugs as of late regarding web apps - like unanticipated glossing of icons. Submit a bug report and let us know if Apple gets back to you (they will, but depending on the kind of bug it can take some time): https://bugreport.apple.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/RadarWeb.woa/wa/signIn
