Unable to download OS update or App updates, Big Sur 11.2.2

I have this problem. No completion of OS update macOS Big Sur 11.2.2 Stuck at preparing - about 15 minutes remaining. Also unable to complete any App updates. Please help someone.

I left it running overnight. Restarted this morning and is still stuck on 15 minutes remaining

Well overnight is certainly long enough. I didn’t want you to rely on the 15 minute estimate.
